Re: Super7: SilverHawks ULTIMATES!
I keep messing with my display and will have to mess with it again when I get Mon*Star's throne (I passed on it at first but decided I need it). For now Silverhawks has to share space with D&D.

Re: Super7: SilverHawks ULTIMATES!
I got wave 2 yesterday. I've only opened Monstar (his throne and Bluegrass) so far, but I love both of them. Only thing that really bugs me is the music effect not staying on Bluegrass's guitar. The plastic is too soft and possibly misshapen.
Also, I didn't think about it until I got these in hand, but I would love for little clear bird flight stands for these. It's a bummer you have to have the bird clamped onto the arm or just sitting next to the figures. Or in Mon*star's case just sitting there...

So, I noticed that Steelwill and Bluegrass both have face printing, which I believe is a first for U! figures. Hopefully we see a lot more of this in the future, particularly with human characters.

I would prefer them to start with engineering better articulation, but hey! face printing.

Seriously though - this isn't a thing that's likely to occur. Ultimates is what it is at this point and Flynn and Super7 don't seem in a hurry to move from it. This is the company that is still steadily cranking out wave after wave of 5 POA Reaction figures.
For me - I don't want too many design changes mid-stream in a collection. It's more important to me that the collection be uniform and similar to each other than have the newest articulation designs.
Now if what you are suggesting is that the articulation that's already cut in actually work, well that I can agree with. Having joints that aren't functional is dumb and a waste of the tooling

I'm really loving these 2.
I hope the work on their faces is what's held up wave 1.

Got an email from Super7 for Wave 1 asking for any updates to the shipping address. Should be just a few weeks now!

Got my hawks in. So far, only had time to open steelwill, he looks amazing! My copy is a tad floppy but I don’t care, he just looks great! Yes, at some point the toon colors will absolutely come out and I’ll grab those too. This line will look perfect once there are a few more hawks on the shelf.

Not only does it help animated/comic characters, but will do wonders for their figures based on real people like the upcoming Star Trek line.

Re: Super7: SilverHawks ULTIMATES!
The thing is, I think Brian mentioned in his video with Veebs that certain factories they use are set up for the face printing, but not all of them. As long as ALL the Silverhawks figures are made at the same factory, we should have a consistent look, but if different factories are doing alternating waves we might have a MMPR Tommy situation with one or two figures in the group.

Re: Super7: SilverHawks ULTIMATES!
The fact that wave 2 jumped ahead of wave 1 would make it seem like they're coming out of different factories, unless there was just some unique issue with that first wave that wouldn't impact wave 2 so the factory pivoted to that. Wave 2 turning out the way it did certainly allows for some optimism when it comes to the first wave, but it's not guaranteed.

Man...THIS hits my childhood HARD...

I never watched nor owned any TCats (and never heard of Tigersharks until adulthood), but I had every single Silverhawks everything. Only TMNT outnumbered/overshadowed them.
(Reason my Mandora bike has no pilot: )

Hoping BBTS will replace her.
