McFarlane The Princess Bride

I got Inigo and Fezzik for Christmas. I've only had time to open Inigo so far and I'm really impressed by the figure. I do wish he had a sheath, not sure why that was skipped as McFarlane has included sheaths with other figures (poor sheaths but still sheaths). It's also a little surprising at the lack of extras. Most of my McFarlane experience comes from the DC stuff and those don't go crazy with the accessories but they still come with more than what we have here. With those it's either they throw in a couple extra hands or have more than one weapon. Having just the sword feels off, especially considering the higher price point of $25.

I grabbed Wesley from GameStop from their end of year sale. I haven't seen these in store anywhere, and most other places I've seen the figures online are either sold out, or don't have him.

I got wrapped in the nostalgic hype after watching the film again and preordered the set from McFarlane’s store. I think the sale cost got me one figure for mostly free. I’m repainting the side eyes. It’s what I wish. These are not perfect but dang owning an Andre, Mandy, Robin, and Cary group of figures sounds inconceivable and I mean it…it comes with a peanut? Heh!

Mandy looks great! If you painted Andre's skin green you'd be one head away from a Shrek figure.

This is so annoyingly true that I might actually do that Heck, just take the hair off, resculpt the head, give him a vest a voila.

And I did have a shrekingly good time making it.

That Shrek has no business being as good as it is! Amazing job, Shinigami! I wonder if any of the other characters would translate well to Shrekdom....

Jk, jk. Vizzini looks good. There's at least a fair amount of difference in all the figures to warrant a second buy. Even Fezzik is getting a new figure with the cloak and a new face. Vizzini is a buy, for sure, and probably Westley, but I think I'm good on the rest.

I'll get Vizinni and probably Westley, but the rest are a pass. Really wish we'd gottenore than one new character. I'd really like Rugen, Humperdinck, and maybe Miracle Max before all is said and done.
