I'm sure we'll get at least a dedicated reveal for them closer to release. Wave 1 sold pretty well, at least in the few stores I visited back home. Avatar is still a pretty hot property, especially with the live-action show coming out (which I wonder if we'll see figures for).

I wasn’t sold on anything McFarlane has done (hate everything I’ve seen them do with DC, especially the scale). That is until I saw the 5 inch Avatar line in person. The promo images really did them no favours. Wish they had ankle joints but it’s been so long coming for some of these characters that beggars can’t be choosers. Very excited for Toph and Iroh. And I really hope we can get to Azula, Tylee and Mai before the line ends. Mattel did these characters dirty and Diamond Select is taking too long and their distribution is a dice roll.

Wow! Iroh and Toph look really good. I was expecting another Aang but I thought he’d be shirtless perhaps and come with Momo. I wasn’t expecting a full on repaint like this for his Avatar state.
I hope wave 2 is easy to find. I’ve been watching the show with my kids and now they’re excited about the characters. So it makes it feel easier to get into a new toy line when I can let my kids play with them.

I really love the Appa figure, despite how small he is. I wouldn’t mind an armored Appa down the line if we get all the kids in their fire nation outfits eventually.

My Gold Label Zuko arrived, and dangit if his helmet isn't glued on crooked. The nose guard is offset from his nose. Not really sure if it's worth it to try and order another or just deal. It looks okay if you tilt the head and put him in action pose. Wish you could do more kung-fu type kicks as fireball kicks was a Fire Nation signature move.
But this whole ordeal on the Gold Label Zuko has been one kick in the nuts after another.

Pretty sure they did like they did with the McFarlane Year 2 Batman and eventually just cncelled everybodys.

God, I'm so jealous that the 7" line isn't even halfway there yet.

Speaking of, do the arms on anyone else's Zuko pop out of the shoulder joint with relative ease if you rotate them past a certain point? They pop back in easily enough so its not a big deal, but it's just odd. Avatar state Aang looks all right, but he really could have used a different expression like the 5" one. This head would've been great if the normal state was happy. As is, I'll probably just wait for a Book 3 Avatar State similar to the Diamond Select figure.

I'm pretty frustrated at the slow pace of the 7" line. 2 characters 3 versions of the same Zuko (standard, gold, chase) and 2 of Aang (standard and gold).

Is the 5" line Walmart Exclusive?

Hey, you posted my picture! I was about to post it myself. No need to now. Really happy with Toph. Definitely want Iroh too. Hope that Mcfarlane make Azula, Mai and Ty Lee next.

Yeah, Diamond Select Momo. It works well I think.

I haven’t bought the Mcfarlane Appa because it’s scale just doesn’t work for me. I have the old Mattel Appa but it’s still in its box. I was thinking of picking one of the plush Sky bison toys and making it a saddle and a wire skeleton. Would be a fun project.

Toph is the highlight of the line for me so far. The scale and proportions are great. Especially compared to the Diamond Select Toph with its weirdly sized head and skinny frame. I’ve bought two Toph with the intention of maybe adding more articulation to the ankles.

Still no sign of the Iroh that was teased with Toph though.
