I find it strange that there is not as much synergy between product and what's on screens these days. Picard season 3 is awesome and last night was amazing. So many new things that need plastic representation. On the ship front the Fleet Museum should be a roadmap for Playmates to follow. Just seems like wasted energy to me. People have expressed the frustration of just getting season 1 STD characters and I agree. I personally don't need current versions of these characters but I feel they need to keep up with what's current and current STD characters should have been made first or at all. Like Prodigy. Didn't they eventually move the characters into crew uniforms and these seem like the initial versions of those characters. At the rate Playmates is moving a lot of options will probably never make it out the gates. When the line ends I'm sure most of us will be scratching our heads as to what they thought were priorities.

Super 7 is another thing! All Victorian wave?! No CMDR Shelby, CAPT Jellico, CAPT Bateson, etc. So many characters that never have had a figure. I guess the focus will be the main cast and their variations over the 7-years. Hell, as a Riker man, no beardless version at least?
You are absolutely right! Hasbro keeps hammering out figures for The Mandalorian and the rest of the Disney Shows. They are maybe a year behind til figures from current shows are in stores. How long ago did Discovery first air? Prodigy figures reflect early first season looks and I’m sure kids are going to be wanting current looks for the Second Season. Get the lead out Playmates. As for Super7, I think we are going to see great things. Look at how far they are going with GI Joe! Brian Flynn and the team working on Star Trek are all really big fans of the show. I’m pretty sure we might see all kinds of great things. I’m sure a Salt Vampire and other unexpected things like it will one day be a reality from Super7. I don’t have that confidence to say that for the Playmates line just yet, but hopefully they’ll be a little less timid with their line a little further in.

One of the Super7 design team, when questioned about why Moriarty wasn’t in the wave, stated that Moriarty probably wouldn’t be allowed because of the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Estate. Data and Geordie are simply labeled as Data and Geordie. I suggested they simply call “M” - “ Malicious Holo-Deck Program “ or something similar. I don’t know if Super7 had considered that. I sure hope they make a figure of the character though.
Oh but that won't or shouldn't stop them from making one later...

That's what I've been saying! They need to get stuff out there for the new shows. Hoping Hiya starts with SNW or Picard 3, rather than being another TNG & TOS line that. Not that I don't want that stuff, just do the new stuff first.

Most toy companies move slow. We know it's usually a year from screen to product on licensed products. That's usually a priority rush too. I collect WWE and it's a pain to finally get a new character or update of an existing one a month or two after they've been released from the promotion. I haven't been keeping up with NXT this year but I finally got my Mandy Rose from Amazon in her brunette heel look last week and find out she was booted out several months ago for having an Only Fans account! Crap!! Playmates however moves even slower than that. This is why they will always be a B-tier company to me. Without TMNT they'd be nothing now.

Really wish someone would basically do what Eaglemoss did only more affordable. Something like the Micro Galaxy Squadron line for Star Wars. I just want cool versions of all the ships, on stands, and I dont wanna pay $100 apiece for them.

This right here! I would absolutely love it if Micro Machines would be made available again with all new ships from all over the Star Trek Legacy. I love having light and sound ships too, but that it so unrealistic to expect to be able to collect those in great depth.

What's sad is the lead time on current Trek shows IS enough for them to have merchandise on the shelves! Picard S3 shot over a year ago - for almost a year - and didn't SNW shoot S2 directly after S1? When is that supposed to debut? Have they started S3 yet? Disco is the only one airing ~close to filming.

And whatever the hell is going on with Prodigy.

Is this a Playmates problem or a Paramount licensing problem? I guess that’s the real question. The only company I see really on the ball with the new show so far has been Mego. We are getting characters from Strange New Worlds any day now. Picard Season 3 has been hitting Legacy sweet spots every episode getting old ships and characters back in the forefront. Prodigy, Lower Decks an SNW have all been doing so as well. So the excuse that these wanted items are out of the public mind are nonsense. If you put a nice Voyager, Defiant, Reliant, Titan-A, etc out; people will buy it!

Yeah, smaller ships would be nice. I don't even have the room to properly display my DST 1701-A. Also, since we've seen the ships participating in "Frontier Day," does anyone else expect an epic final fight occurring at the end of the season? Glad an "old friend" still exists after all! I have a guess of who will be commanding two of them at least.

Stumbled onto this listing earlier - didn't know this was a thing: https://www.deepdiscount.com/newson-int ... 6382501101

She looks pretty good, but not exactly right - I think she's too gaunt and the hair is too big. But why can't ANYONE make this in 7", 6" or 5"?

Sorry if this is old news but I happened to notice the playmates figures at Target had different face aps. Of the ones I saw, Spock was a downgrade, data and Kirk were different but not necessarily better, but this guy was good enough to make me buy him again…Image

Seeing as how there's *never* been good 18th figures of TOS or TNG, much less any other Trek show; I'm hoping against your hope. I'm not at all sure there's enough of a fandom for the new shows, much less enough of those hoping for 18th figures; that such a line would survive to get to the absolute-must figures in TOS, TNG, and DS9.

Wow! That's huge improvement. I'd pick up another Riker too if I found one with the updated face paint. Do you recall if Picard and Data with updated faces had painted flesh tones like this Riker, or was the skin still molded in flesh color? Also, where did you find the new Riker?

The Riker on the left looks a lot better. Man, if I knew this line was going deep I'd be all in. But I've been burned by Star Trek lines since the beginning of this century.

Target in the St. Louis area. Didn’t see Picard. data had paint but I didn’t think it looked better and I already bought two of him since a hand broke on my first one, so I passed.
