I thought that was him. Playmates sure is being stingy with info about waves other than Wave 1. It’s not like anything is a spoiler for anything upcoming because at the least, they are two years behind on any of the current series! I really don’t get all the secrecy and it’s starting to really rub me the wrong way. Hasbro with all their alias names for forthcoming products is more open and sharing with their customers and fan base. It’s like no one at Playmates wants to take the initiative and become their Star Trek spokesperson.

At this stage I'll gladly take what we get but not hoping for the 90s to be coming back. Playmate's must have spent some coin to get the license so I don't know why they are treating it like this.

So the new video from the “Look at My StAr Trek Toys” guy shows a second photo. Similarly taken from the balcony at a great distance. Does anyone know the source? I want to see if there’s a higher res version of it than what the website displays.

If you are on Facebook, consider joining one of these groups. It’s where the photos are coming from. Bandai UK is distribution for that side of the world for Playmates.willbfree wrote:So the new video from the “Look at My StAr Trek Toys” guy shows a second photo. Hello there!
Is there any place where I can find a visual checklist for the entire Art Asylum/DST Star Trek line? Thanks so much.

That Janeway is scary. What an eyesore!
These seem to either look REALLY good, or nowhere near accurate. Hoping the SNW crew look decent when they are eventually released.

Janeway looks just like the source material. It's a great rendition of that version of her.
It saddens me that thousands and thousands of people walked by that Playmates display in London and NONE of them realized there were new figures on display and took a picture. With a crowd in tune to stuff like that, I think that portends not good things.

Yeah. May not be a good sign if nobody’s paying attention to your product at a convention. We know that Star Trek hasn’t been a good merchandise mover for awhile now. I suppose as long as retailers are selling through existing product, more will be made.
Saw some of the first wave at Target this week. Their likenesses seemed better to me than when they first hit. They were painted, whereas I thought the skin looked more raw plastic. Never actually bought them so maybe I’m just misremembering. I almost would have gotten all of them, but Data had some seriously misleveled eyes printed on him.

Re: The Star Trek thread
That’s the thing though. This is Toy Fair, not a Comic Con like SDCC. The Star Trek figures were in booths where photography was prohibited and you needed an appointment just to get in on the floor and see what was shown. That’s why the shots that have been revealed are so blurry. They were taken from a second level overlooking the showroom floor. I guess the sales people feel that the tight secrecy on these will keep everyone’s interests peaked.
