Picked up Overtkill today.
I wasn’t too big on his design but having him in hand I like him a lot more. There’s so much to the sculpt that I’m really just looking forward to giving him a repaint. I already went over the fleshy parts with a couple washes and he looks so much better.

Re: McFarlane Toys 7inch Spawn
Overtkill is the most unjustly criticized figure in the modern line. Aside from being accurate to the current comics, he's an awesome hunk of plastic. I bought him a couple months ago and opened him recently. I've been surprised by how much I like him. Really stands out and looks great next to Spawn!
I still would dig a classic version of both him and Manga Spawn though.

Re: McFarlane Toys 7inch Spawn
The current Spawn line is my favorite as far as comic lines go these days. Really enjoy it and hope for a lot more - but the pricing on his Megafigures is rough. Omega is small. Cool as hell, but $50?? DC is only $40. Maybe it's just because it's a lower run?
Monolith was one I wanted a figure of since his reveal back in like 2020 and the figure killed it. So I'm happy paying full price there and same with Violator. But going forward will be patient and/or selective.

Re: McFarlane Toys 7inch Spawn
Well it’s not that I have a problem with the figure itself. It’s just that its $50 for a giant figure and no accessories. We should at least get a couple of wrist mounted guns or rockets that he can strap to his shoulders, forearms and wrists. He just doesn’t have the same kind of shelf presence as you’d expect for a character who is typically a Hulking Cyborg tank that happens to be a mob enforcer.ditko wrote:Overtkill is the most unjustly criticized figure in the modern line. Still a WIP but here’s what I have so far.

Not based on anything specific. I just wanted him to be gross!

Job well done!!
The rustic look on the metal is great and the moist (yes, I use that word!) flesh looks painful.
I do agree with what has been said earlier about the lack of accessories.
A parking meter and some chains could have been included, but maybe McFarlane Toys has a Parking Meter Accessory Pack planned as a store exclusive.

Wow that’s great! Much better than the original which I passed on for $18 at Gamestop a few months ago.samhain2731 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 04, 2023 7:19 amMister Skeezler wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 1:54 pmI'd love to see photos when you're done!samhain2731 wrote:Picked up Overtkill today.

Yeah that's how Barbieri started drawing him like right as this toy came out. Oh well, I really like the one I got. I hope we get pre-orders for Wave 5 soon. And better looks at the Page Punchers.

Re: McFarlane Toys 7inch Spawn
I saw that real early this morning. They look good. Anti-Spawn and Auger are certainly planned for the mainline, have to be. I might have to pick the minis up. Maybe when Wave 5 goes up for pre-order I'll get one of these 2.
