I tried to follow the steps, but I do not see a way to pay for shipping, or select shipping. I do see a $26 order total though. Is that supposed to be shipping (I paid the $100 for the figures long ago)? I only ordered one copy of the Gorgo and Atilla 2-pack. That's pretty expensive shipping for that. Should be closer to $15.
Yeah, same here. I think it will be charged automatically sometime in the next week, but the way they worded it, it sounded like we had to initiate it. My shipping was $45 for the 4 builders and the 2 pack. That feels a bit high.

The whole "we've created one(a backerkit account) for everyone!" feels a little messed up, too.

I agree that the Backer Kit site was incredibly confusing when trying to create an account or view the account they created. I finally got to a point where I could view the account they created for me, but it felt like it happened by accident. You'd think they could have set up a direct link or something in the email...

I'm assuming the shipping charge will also include sales tax, so that may be why it seems high.

That may be the case.

But should Kickstarters include taxes? Technically we didn't buy a product, we donated money to help fund a project. And they are sending product as a reward, There is no guarantee of product, Kickstarter makes that very clear.

I don't feel like I've ever paid taxes on a Kickstarter before, but maybe other projects included that in the price and I just never see that aspect ...

Yeah that’s confusing. I ordered the same set that you did. Am I supposed to manually pay for shipping now? The page makes it look like I will just get charged automatically (or that I was already charged automatically?).

We're we supposed to have paid for the Legion Builders as well already? Logging into the survey they sent ages ago, I requested it again, I have the 2 pack listed along with a Male Orc Builder, but the only charge I see is $39. if that's shipping alone for the 2 pack then God damn... but I also never remember paying for the Orc. Did I mess that up somehow and don't have one on order? I only see $100 for the 2 pack on kickstarter as well.

You may have bought something on the first crowd fund....I forgot what that one was called, Forge or something? IDK I only bothered on the Kickstarter site.

From one of the comments on the status update, and from their update itself, I think we can expect to see shipping rates change to the actual value later this week as they update..something...in the system.

Mine is currently at $59 to ship 3 of the builders to Canada, and I see a comment on there stating that $60 is default shipping the system added to everything. The bummer is that it's probably only a little bit higher than what the actual shipping to Canada will be.

The shame is that we've waited so long for these, and have seen so many cool new sculpts to look forward to, that these feel pretty underwhelming at this point. The builders at least. I've got a female elf, and both orcs coming. We haven't had orcs in a long time so they should be fun, but the female elf is just completely overshadowed by the new Artemis. The new Gorgo and Attila are going to be great however. Glad I was able to snag some from eCollectibles before they sold out.

I’ve emailed the Forge people a few times and have got no response over the last few months.

I have an invoice for 4 figures from when I ordered them and Backerkit wants $39 but doesn’t show where I can update my shipping info to make sure it’s correct.

I’m not going to pay for shipping unless I know they have my shipping info. And $39 for 4 figures is crazzzy

I've been skipping pre-orders. How do 4H prices compare with the third party retailers? With all the complaints about 4H shipping costs, I'm thinking it's just better to pay retailer markups and get free (or cheaper) shipping.

The prices will just ~$15 for standard figures when hitting retail. The shipping costs for the kickstarter figures are supposed to be adjusted, they were overly high even by 4H standards. That being said even buying direct from them shipping is pretty high for some. I ended up getting 7 figures in the All-Stars 5 wave and shipping for me was like $20, so the cost isn't bad at all for me, but others have had higher shipping costs/buying fewer figures so it hits a little harder.

if you're buying a one off from a wave you'd be better off waiting for retail. Multi orders/all ins though you're still much better off buying direct.

Bit off brand, but does anyone have any experience with COO Model? BBTS just put up 2 new figures from them and I'm absolutely loving how they look.

a few waves ago I calculated, and for me being only a few days shipping away from them, I found I was losing about under 20 bucks by waiting on bbts. Also factor in how much you care about having a company hold your money for possibly a year plus, also sometimes there's a gap in delivering. It took at least 2 months for bbts to get the arethyr wave in over FH. I don't think that's normal, but it's always a possibility.

I personally trust 4H to deliver, but i personally would rather keep my cash and pay a slight up charge on bbts.

This. Prepaying a year or more in advance plus wildly unpredictable shipping rates? No thank you.

So, got my box today from 4H containing Okeaetos, Azhar and the head pack. I've cut WAY back on my Mythic Legions collection restricting it to mostly the MOTU homages and a few things like the Minos and cat people and the like. I was a sucker for that head pack because of the Black Panther head included. Couldn't resist it. Don't even have a Legions body to reasonably put it on anymore, but I had to have it. the other heads will find use some way ore other.

Azhar was one of the demons I regretted not getting the first time, so pulled the trigger. And had to have the Webstor homage.

I tend to get 1 or 2 figures so I'll likely never get the savings benefits of being all in. That said, I'm trying to remember what I spent on my last 4H purchase. I'm seeing that standard figures at BBTS are $49 so taking into account the $15 upcharge, I likely paid around $35 for a standard figure from 4H. I'm pretty sure I paid $8 in shipping for that figure. So it's likely I paid $43 for one figure. Does 4H charge sales tax? If so then, I probably paid close to $45 for that single figure.

Same. In fact, prepaying was seriously making me consider quitting this hobby.
