LUKE CAGE
Image
Removed the gauntlets. Arm plastic is black, gonna have to repaint. Replaced lower legs with Drax's lower legs. Head is gigantic!

BLACK WIDOW
Image
Just swapped the BW parts on after removing the skin tone paint. Bracers are holding hands in, pegs are too thin to fit in the wrist sockets. Shame I couldn't keep the nice BW upper torso. Very Frank Cho look to the proportions now.

...and he's back! dipping your toes in the customizing pool only whets your appetite to jump in headfirst. especially, with all these new toys to play with!

That new female body is very nice! I'm loving it. I wish i'd ordered a Thunderbolts set of HTS now... I like Luke's look too (except the head as well... too big).

Looking good, Norm. Good to see you posting again. If you ever decide you don't like the bright yellow of the belt and gauntlets, I have some old TB Widow ones I could toss your way (though, you probably have em, too.)

What's it been, three years? I can barely call this customizing, grinman. These were pretty much just mods, boil and pop, minor repaint. I don't think I'll ever get into full fledged customizing again. These were only done because the parts were available and swappable. I'll pretty much only do part swaps now.

BDC, thanks for the offer, but I actually prefer to use all Hasbro parts when doing Hasbro customs/swaps.

Ah, but boil and pops with minor repaint was what the early days of customizing consisted of. Remember when people were racing to do a head swap and some repaint? Anyway, nice to see you updating with some new work.

Can you post a pic of your new Widow next to one of the female Shield agents or gals that use that body? I'd like to see some side to side comparisons to get a better sense of the proportion changes.

Both look good, but man is that Cage head huge. Also, maybe it's just me, but all of these McGuinness heads are looking really similar in some cases. Cage and Drax could be twins.

I'm also jealous at how many replies you've recieved today.

Ahh... but that's what "dipping your toes.." was referring to. Good luck staying away.

good god, a pair of customs? From Norm?

seriously though, great to see you back, even if it is just for a parts swap.

Having said that, I think Draxs legs might be too thin for that body.
