This version is my second most wanted Wasp, edged out just barely by the yellow torso/black legs and sleeves look. Yours is absolutely stunning, though I feel the X23 head you used is just a tad too stern for how I envision Janet. But very resourceful use of fodder!

Fabricating most of the effects is pretty straightforward. You'll need a pair of precision scissors (like fiskars), X-acto, a nice assortment of Sharpies, and the base material.
The material I use is from these folders called "Heavy Duty 2-Pocket Folder with Fasteners" found at most brick-and-mortar Staples stores and is very affordable at around $2.19 to $2.49 per folder. Now be sure to get the heavy duty ones as the plastic from them is thicker than in the basic version. Walmart also sells a very similar product but the plastic is much thinner, similar to the Staples basic version. *Avoid them as they will warp and curl.
Here is a full-color image I took which, if printed on an 8.5×11 inch sheet of paper, can be used to trace onto the plastic material and then be cut out and detailed. I recommend using scissors to cut out most of the shapes from the plastic.



At this point, if you want to take a shortcut, you could simply print the image onto heavy cardstock, cut them out, and be done with it. But, they'll be made of paper and subject to humidity, yellowing, etc..
Anyway, once you get them cut out of the plastic, go to town with the Sharpies and detail each effect accordingly. After that, punch out the hole for the wrist/hand-peg and you're done. Easy breezy.
Once you get the hang of things, you can improvise whatever novel shapes you can conceive of.

Now, those are the easy ones. The two more difficult ones are the magnetic and bubble effects. The magnetic one simply requires lots of precise X-acto work and is a bit of a pain in the posterior. The bubble effect is easier, provided you have a fancy shmancy Leather/Rubber/Plastic Hole Punch Tool. Right now it's on sale for under $10.00 but, I didn't pay more than $12.00 at the time for mine.
Start by cutting out a rough circular shape and then go to town punching out multiple holes of varying diameters. Then go back and cut the outer perimeter to match the curvatures of the holes and you're good to go.

I wonder if the krackle effect could be simulated by gluing the ball portion of the overused effects to the folder cutouts in front and back in various places

Metaluna- I imagine extricating, splitting, and gluing each of those spheres could be quite labor intensive. Maybe placing actual drops of glue and letting it dry or cool would be more practical? I'm just spitballing here.


Here's a quick mod for my boy, Avalanche. While I would have put him on a larger, stouter body, Hasbro's offering is okay for the most part. But that head; that head looks ridiculous. So, as soon as I tore him from the package, I got to work replacing that mug.
I decided upon that old Steve Rogers head with the big, dimpled chin for the replacement and it works well enough. After some apoxie sculpt and paint, we have ourselves a much more classic-looking (albeit skinny) Avalanche.
I also hit his costume lines with a little black paint to accentuate the sculpt.

The silver painted helmet matches well-enough with the swirly suit but, I'm considering going back in and painting the swirly suit silver too. Shrug.
