Proof time has no meaning since the start of the pandemic:
Went to order the new Boba, saw he had a shipping date of 12/1/22, thought it was 12/1/21, FORGOT WHAT YEAR IT WAS, got very happy that "oh that's soon!" Placed my order, and... did the math and returned to reality.

I miss having an appropriate sense of the passage of time.
BBTS and DST are saying June. Watch him ship in April.

(Edit: DS has him listed for June '22. Given Pulse's track record, swapping the PO...)
I had the exact same experience.

Anyone know when Fennec or Bib Fortuna are going up for preorder?
From where? Dorkside has them already.

Yavin Leia is deluxe price for $29.99?!?! hahaha good luck with that

https://hasbropulse.com/collections/sta ... na-yavin-4

I bought figures from the new wave at Target for $19.99 last month. Hasbro hasn't forced $22.99 into happening at retail. Nobody buys at Gamestop for $24.99-$26.99. People don't want "The Credit Collection" ugly variants for $24.99 each. And I'm having a hard time imagining that most folks are into these blister cards.

I'm afraid that the Golden Age is over.

Is that what the POTF2 cards are going for? I know the one in the regular wave isn't exactly the same figure at least.

I don't mean to sound so negative but the market is rejecting the $24.99+ pricing on these less than desirable exclusives.

I go into a few different Gamestops most weeks in order to check on collectables and no one is buying these Gaming Greats and alt colorways. Brand new figures are taking up valuable real estate for months at a time before stores can clear them out. The boxes are beat up. Similarly positioned figures in the past such as Darth Revan couldn't even make it to the shelf before someone snatched him up. Darth Nihilus never even made it to stores. But there's no shortage of clone trooper variant #137. I don't get it.

I'm not sure if I was more upset I forgot how time works or if the shipping date was a year away. I probably should've been more upset about the former, but really I just want my toys to help me get through this dreary life...

I saw the new Boba Fett in a Pulse email. Go to pre-order him and it sold out while I was trying to check out. Then I noticed the release date is next December 1st 2022! But Dorkside and BBTS have him June of 2022. So I decided to go with Dorkside and also order Bad Batch Wrecker since I don't have him yet. So glad my Pulse order didn't go through. I would have canceled it anyway LOL. Also, I'm not sure why Boba is a deluxe figure. Also, I kind of wish it had some soft goods to justify the deluxe pricing. The colors seem to look better in the pictures with him in the packaging. The picture with the white background, he looks like he's wearing brown.

I sympathize. These preorder dates just keep getting further and further out! My collecting spreadsheet now has several active releases through out 2022! I assume Ahsoka and the DW Mandalorian will be shipping April 2023.

Honestly, I don't even know. I really wish they had included an alt head to have the "helmet on" version because I can't stand these squishy, malformed helmets. I prefer the alt head marvel legends approach. If they do the "just got his armor back" Boba as a deluxe, I can genuinely say I will skip that one. He's at the bottom of my Boba list anyway, but he would be almost entirely kitbash at this point.

The only good thing about the GG exclusives being priced how they are is that they sell so poorly, so they are often on sale/clearance. Still not as ideal as just being properly priced in the first place...

I think it's a combination of that and Darth Nihilus and Darth Revan being two important and iconic characters from highly beloved video games, whereas most other Gaming Greats figures are variants people don't have much demand for or cheap army builder repaints. Despite the recent Target Clone Wars exclusives being more expensive at $26.49, they sold pretty well.

I bet if Hasbro made a Starkiller or Darth Malak, they'd be hot sellers even with the $24.99 pricetag. Of course, both of those would require entirely new sculpts and I don't think we've gotten that from Gaming Greats yet.

Yeah, I don't worry about finding Gaming Greats very often, but Starkiller or Malak I'd be a little stressed about preordering. There's some specific characters who are beloved enough from gaming franchises I bet they'd sell really well, but not all of them.

Now I wonder if we'd ever see someone like Kyle Katarn, who made the jump from games to the Expanded (Legends) Universe given that they do seem open to sporadically releasing folks from KOTOR etc. Tangentially, makes me realize I'd love a Corran Horn figure even though I know that's just never a gonna happen. One of the few EU characters I have a real soft spot for.

I thought the Yavin Leia figure was exactly the same, no?
(So just a retro blister pack tax)
Looks very much like they are from what I've seen, unless I've overlooked some small detail?
(Not being snarky or contrary- it's just really useful to know for anybody that doesn't want to pay an extra fiver for a box they'll rip open.)
