MAFEX Star Wars

Just giving you guys a heads up Medicom MAFEX apparently has licensce to do Star Wars figures. If your aware of their past figures 6 inch figures like ASM Spidey and DKR Batman this something to be excited about and great compliment to the Black Series. They probably will only do A-listers, but anyways discuss!

Hmm... I have to see them before I can get excited.

The articulation and detail is nice, but the proportions and cuts (the hips) look odd on the ASM Spider-Man.

OT: I see TDK on there so they're probably going to make a Joker. I would like to see a TDKR Bane.

I dunno. I guess I need to see an actual product before I can muster any excitement/interest. If this just means another Darth Maul with more articulation and more accessories for $45, then I probably don't need it. I'm having a hard time picturing characters that would benefit from the MAFEX treatment that won't be served just as well by Hasbro for half the price. I just need to see something beyond a logo, I think.

It might be interesting to mix and match these with the Hasbro line. A lot of folks didnt like the scale on R2,so this might be another option. If Hasbro doesnt give us a shiny vac-formed C3PO maybe this line will. One line might do cloth capes while the other does plastic....different accessories, hands, stuff like that. Could be interesting.

:o Good LORD. If Medicom has fixed the arm-joint issue, this figure will be a dream come true. And just imagine if we get some MAFEX Stormtroopers to go along with it!

Vader looks great but he has no neck.

With the right accessories I'm definitely interested.

Looks nice, but aside from the plastic side-robes, I think I prefer the Black Series one.

The breastplate looks too big. It's sitting right on top of the control panel on his chest and makes him look scrunched. Otherwise, it looks pretty solid.

I like the cape. That's the type of cape I wanted on the Black Series figure. I hope it turns out like this one.

These are normally around $40-50, yeah? Makes me real glad Hasbro started making them in 6". That'll save me a lot of money.

There's no way I'm passing this up. I'm not going to stop pursuing the Black Series, but this looks like it will be my main Vader.
