Lately I've been wondering who designs all these outfits for Cobra.

why?

1. Weather has been hot lately. Some of these Cobra Uniforms look like you'd swelter in 'em.
2. I suppose it is some kind of statement to say "Heck, let's put our Alley Vipers in hunter orange!

The red and black just ties everything together so much better than the purple though.

To me, the red/black just looks like a paint by numbers option. Like you've got the model in front of you and you know your color pallet is black and red so you're just coloring different parts red until it looks ok. "Let's do the shoulder detail up here, then maybe the belt. Sure that's not too much red next to each other. Gotta bring in the legs though, how about the shin guards? There we go, that's fine. Done. Hasbro isn't going to make this one anyway!"

The purple one and the all-black feel the best to me as well-designed color palettes but they also don't necessarily go with the HISS. Purple definitely doesn't, and the all-black will just get kind of lost. Really, I don't think any of the looks are great, but these ARE b-sides after all, so that makes sense.

I think the silver emblem (or lack of one) is the key for me and the tactician. The red symbol or black symbol throw me off, whereas any version with a silver emblem just seems right.

There will be a BBQ for backers sponsored by Cobra, they will also put a microchip inside of you just so Cobra commander can track you since we are gonna be Infantry soldiers now. It was a masterplan.
