Yep. I will never understand the lack of extension. To me it indicates there were problems behind the scenes and Hasbro counted their losses.

Star Wars Black Series HasLabs are the poster child for struggle - look at Reva's lightsaber.
I'll be shocked if that thing gets backed.

The lightsabers in general have some pretty bad reviews as it is.

Then they want double what they typically ask for a prop from an unpopular character?

The Star Wars section of Hasbro is in dire need of an overhaul, because they make some of the worst decisions.

The Rancor would have funded if they had picked a better time to release it.
Saving the Rancor for when it showed up on Book of Boba Fett would probably have gotten it funded, too.

The thing about that is it makes me wonder what the deals are behind the scenes with Disney. I can’t honestly believe that the Hasbro team is so out of touch that they couldn’t see the immediate issue in taking that to a Haslab. Maybe I’m foolishly giving them the benefit of the doubt and looking for excuses, but that was so objectively a bad idea from the word go. And people like to say hindsight is 20/20 and we’re being know-it-all’s after the fact, but that was a bad idea before it hit the drawing board.

Anyway, back to the HISS. It’s funding so fast that I suppose we’ll get the early bird figure. Counting those two if we were to have to buy them individually that would roughly bring the tank to $250-$260 which is a much better price. Then hopefully add the tiers. After the Rancor nobody should be bringing garbage to the tiers so I would imagine those will end up making the tank a really good deal.

The Rancor would have funded if they had picked a better time to release it. Releasing right before Christmas and the fierce competition from a bunch of other high ticket items like the multiple Party Wagons, GB Haslab, and Skystriker was not very strategic.... but even with all the fumbles in timing and poor tier selection it still could have easily funded if they had let it go another week like they did with the Unicron.

The Reva lightsaber was just a bad idea and doomed to fail from the moment they announced it.
It's the tiers that effed the Rancor over more than anything else.

Many felt it was the time to include things they can't/won't release at retail like Oola and Leia.

Why the Rancor Keeper wasn't included from go was baffling too.

5086 Already, can't wait to see what the other tiers are.

I'm personally hoping for more figures.

Maybe that Hooded Cobra Commander they say they can't do.

The Haslab page calls the tiers ‘upgrades’ to the Hisstank so I’m thinking they’ll all be Hiss attachments rather than any more figures. I think the driver and technician will probably be it for figures. Hope I’m wrong though!

I dont want to sidetrack the thread., but did they officially say they wouldnt make this?

All I have heard thus far is speculation from the fans but nothing official from Hasbro.

Yep, they actually lost backers for almost a week after some of the tier reveals. Imagine if even those backers hadn't left it would have backed. Just baffling.

Nothing officially but Super7 said they weren’t allowed to make one so the thought was Hasbro’s got an issue now with some of the imagery the hood brings up. Ironic since it’s their own creation.

So it seems like this will absolutely meet funding in a week, so it will come with 2 figures. That puts the Hisstank cost at $250. Still pricey, but not kick in the nuts overpriced. It does seem a bit undersized, though, as the back door is smaller than the height of the figures. Pretty sure I will stay out, but it is tempting.

During the presentation today it only looked like about half of the LED lights were functional in the resin model.

The head and tail lights were not functional. Correction I just re-watched the stream and the were functioning... my bad!

I want to see how the HISS looks in a dark room with all of the lights functioning!

This is getting funded today and I would not be shocked if it hits the first stretch goal before midnight.

Was just coming to post the same thing. This thing is funding today. A bunch of people are going to be getting off work in the next few hours and they'll see the tweets and watch the stream and we're at 8k by midnight. I wonder if we might even hit the first stretch goal before they have time to set it up!

This is exciting and terrifying all at once. I don't have the space or wallet to support a Classified vehicle collection.
