Y'know, I was certain, CERTAIN, I could move on from this line as I'd established that I just wasn't a super big Joe fan overall. That I basically just liked one or two designs for nostalgia reasons and I could cut out.

But I did have one of those OG Steel Brigade figs back in the day, and I really do want one in 6". Even though I do really dig the one I've gotten from Vala, I kinda need that 2 pack. The jetpack basically seals it. That was gear I never got as a kid that I always wanted, and the flight helmet on top of it? My 6 yr old self named his stupid Steel Brigade dude "Jet Mike" for goodness sake. It's like they laser targeted my childhood from orbit and smashed it with a bunker-buster.

I like that Snow Job has a Sunbow style laser hand gun. I’m sure the classic Sunbow style rifle will come. I’m sure it’s unlikely but what if the skis are white on the underneath. I know many wanted more white as he is in the ARAH look. I like the black. But I am curious. I wonder if his rifle stows on the pack. I also wonder how they are working the articulation in the torso. It looks like there is a break underneath this webgear like a mid torso wobble. I also kind of see a cut at the waist like a ball at the waist. So two ball joist breaking up the torso? I don’t think it’s a jacket overlay over standard body articulation.

I wonder if the Scrap Iron missile buddy has a ball jointed pivot so it elevates as well as turns. I’m not quite understanding the blast effects. The crazy spirals jutting out from the blasts is peculiar.

Emily called these reveals packs on an Instagram post. Maybe these are all deluxe offerings. Surely three of these are the $60 range. Snow Job may be a Sarge and Kamakura price range.

I don’t care I’m going to get one of each at least. But I want 4 Bubbles, three missile buddies and three Steel Corps sets. I’ll just build up my squads as I go.

I kind of hope that Scrap Iron's drone isn't on a ball joint. I can see that being a problem in the future where it becomes loose and floppy making it difficult, if not impossible, to keep it in any position outside of pointing down to the ground.

Hopefully they use some kind of ratchet joint to allow for stable positioning.

I've said many times I don't NEED these to look like their vintage looks, so this Snow Job looks just fine to me as it is. There was another really good Snow Job that they did for 3.76" in the Pursuit of Cobra line around 2010 and you wouldn't believe the amount of gear that was packed into that standard figure package.

I wasn't thinking about him being any more than your standard price, but now that you mention it, yeah, if you're guessing what 2023 Hasbro is going to price their figures at, better guess high, unfortunately. While the Sarge is a great figure, I personally saw nothing packed in that made him worth that high price (I got mine at my LCS who had him priced at retail AND happened to be running a 25% toys sale, so I lucked out on him.) I can HOPE Snow Job is one of those rare offerings where you are getting a lot of value for your dollar, but I'm prepared for him to not be.

SnowJob is one of those Joes that fell into my skipping over and get him later category. But by the time I realized I should get him, he was already out of production. So now I am eagerly waiting for this guy along with Iceberg and Blizzard (his little mini ski vehicle pack in was awesome)

Scrap Iron is a character that is not high on my interest list but for some reason he holds one of the most clear memories of figure buying I have as a kid. I guess because when I was at the old navy base toy store looking for any other Joe and finding there was none, I ended up getting Scrap Iron because yknow, I had to buy “something.” Now if his classified figure does have a removable helmet, that in itself is awesome.

I have no attachment to those Steel Brigade two pack figures other than my neighbor owning t he original when we were young. However, I am so totally getting those figures because they look really good. My name for the guy will be Jet Jaguar and the female, Jet Pistol. Those are Godzilla and One Piece references btw. Lol.

Televiper and Flight Pod. Oof! I think I’m gonna need 3 of these just to display the different heads. Never owned this vehicle as a kid. Looking forward to it now.

Oh and for we know when the Torpedo wave is supposed to hit or at least when the preorders go up?

Liking the renders of the up and coming figs.
Snow Job is a definite buy. Love all the accessories, and if he’s a start for the cold climate characters so much he better. (Im hoping either Blizzard or Iceberg comes with stylized snowmobile).
I never owned the Steel Brigade figures, but they would make for good cannon fodder. The jet packs alone make it worth getting them.
I did own the RAH Scrap Iron, so this character has nostalgia value for me. The update looks good. This would be another off my top ten.
Tempting as it is to get multiple Trouble Bubbles, I only feel I need one Tele-Viper. Now, if I could find more on clearance, or significant sale….

I'm going to GUESS an optimistic $50 per set? Maybe more? I mean, I SEE the effort but in, I see what we are getting for our money and it looks like an acceptable amount to me. I think I may just focus on GI Joe this year.

I'd guess the Bubble should be the same price as Duke w/RAM and Croc Master/Fiona. That Bubble is no bigger than a motorcycle. Of course, that's if it's a general release and they take a break on price inflation for a couple of minutes.

I hope you guys are right but I don't see the TB set being released for less than $59.99 the way Hasbro's rolling these days.

It's 2023 now, son.

It'll be closer to $40 and steel brigade around $50. Little plastic accessories and explosion effects aren't worth an extra $25 on their own.

Snow Job and Scrap Iron have both been faves of mine since original release. I'd love it if these were standard mainline releases with the $25 price point, but I think that's very unlikely.

That Tele-Viper/Flight Pod set is TOOO MUCH. Not saying I'm getting multiples but damn.

And I wasn't gonna get the Steel Brigade set, but their new and improved names make it impossible to pass on.
