Re: G.I. Joe Classified Series
Yeah... that Scrap Iron looks great. Deluxe for sure, but awesome.
So, that's two more figures confirmed from the leaked list. I know Helix wasn't on that list so there may be some additional surprises... but one thing that was on the list was Grunt. Grunt, while a named character, is about as generic as we got in RAH. He was a basic Infantry Man in green fatigues.
Do we think that the generic "green shirt soldier" army builder that was discussed is Grunt, or do we think we will get basic army builder (lower case) grunts in addition to the named character Grunt - though they would obviously look ALOT alike?
[edit]
LOL... and in the time it took me to type and post that - I got my answer - a big ol' NOPE. Although I though the hint said "green shirt soldier" and these army builders are not green shirts - so still maybe?
Loving the aerial assault forces though.

G.I. Joe Classified Series
Steel Brigade with Jet packs. That’s hilarious! Granted the GI Joe mail away this is based on has mixed reviews by Joe fans. Male and female. Loaded to bear. I like them and will get a few sets. The overlay armor is covering everything so I wonder what is under it. More variety. I wonder how the jet pack fits? I hope it works with previous Joes.
I mean there things to nit and pic. Single jointed female elbows.
I like the redesign on the helmet by Valaverse better. It reminded me of the Shield Agent helmet. Similar beats. This is bonkers. I’m surprised they teased and showed renders in 48 hours-ish.

Re: G.I. Joe Classified Series
I was JUST watching Michael Mercy’s video about the 1987 GI Joe releases last night including a lengthy bit about Steel Brigade. I didn’t know the full history of the figure. It’ll be cool to see folks pop their Selfie Series heads onto these bodies to bring things full circle.
Of course the Vala Boys are taking credit for “forcing” Hasbro to make these figures.

Hasbro is making a more accurate to original design look. Valaverse is making fans want more so they aren’t wrong in them helping create a need. I too just watched Mike Mercy’s video on 1987 Joes. It’s funny that this reveal today does give a chance at full circle.

Re: G.I. Joe Classified Series
They really do knock it out of the park with this line with every reveal. Surprised Steel Brigade was shown this early into the line but I mean, a lot of us are old enough to have mailed away for that figure... (I still have mine around here somewhere, I think.)

Now, Vala makes some great figures and I'm sure Action Force drove the conversation to a more modern military look, but it takes some gumption to take the name of a Joe toyline and the entire look and name of a figure from a Joe toyline and somehow claim Hasbro's copying you.
On the other hand, I do wish Hasbro would copy AF's multiple hand options.
Re: G.I. Joe Classified Series
These *have* to be added to the Selfie Series. That was the whole point of the original Steel Brigade.Boy Wonder wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 9:24 pmIt’ll be cool to see folks pop their Selfie Series heads onto these bodies to bring things full circle.

Re: G.I. Joe Classified Series
Man, three amazing reveals! The SB looks a bit off though, and it's because of those bulky shoulder and chest pieces. I need more baby blue to balance out the look. I'll hold out hope that they're removable.

Awesome. I will have to get multiple as that male Steel Brigade is getting a Duke head, and a blue helmet and I will call him Starduster. So cool.
