My store just got in the new SE/TImber sets and are already marked to "clearance" at $45.
I got my eye on the tiger cycle, but my gut tells me it will be cheaper if I wait.
This is probably true. I still see this on Target shelves in different stores. Maybe the new packaging style makes it not stand out so much, but I think the Breaker/ cycle packs moved much more quickly.

Breaker went to clearance too and relatively soon if I recall. That's the main reason for me waiting.

To be clear, I rather have the environmentally unsound carbon rich global changing plastic packaging.
As it stands, Hasbro never checked with me so here we are.
I do agree, the new packages simply do not stand out on the shelves. More often than not, the artwork on the package does not do justice for the figure if selling a figure is their intention.

Iirc correctly Target included him in a sale less than two weeks after the shelf or street date. I ended with five for less than half off, including my two preorders when I asked for a price adjustment.

Yeah, sale, clearance, I don't care which, just looking for a few bucks off, that would be nice.

So any news on when the next fan stream will be? I have to believe there will be one soon. I think there is just the wave with Falcon on pre-order, pretty sure it’s about time to get more pre-orders out there or we won’t have new product until late this year. And need some 3.75 news, though I’d imagine they are waiting for skystriker to hit before anything on that. Maybe they are waiting on skystriker to hit and will go right into the next 3.75 haslab?

Well Skystrikers are probably going to start hitting homes this week, or next at the latest. I hope it ships like Victory Saber (got him 10 days after the address deadline), and not like the Sentinel (almost two months after the address deadline).

I imagine the next fan stream will be next month, and you are right there is nothing left in the cupboard. The Falcon wave is all that's left so they better get off their duffs soon. The way things have gone with shipping orders, and preorder dates, there is a high likelihood that this final wave could miraculously show up next month. Hell maybe even before the end of this month!!!

That's the joy/sorrow of big box retail.

You can end up getting something for a great price, or just miss out and get stuck with full price.

For me, recently, it was Retro Destro. He just started showing up on shelves at Walmart up here (Canada) and some stores had him at full price ($35.97) and others had him on clearance for $19. Completely random as too why, but as I said big box and their systems allow for this kind of thing to happen. So enjoy when it does!! :D

Never cared too much for Helix, but we'll see how it looks. I will say it's refreshing that it's not another straight re-do of an '80s figure. (Although I guess it could be a straight re-do of a 25th-era figure, we'll see.)

The Joe troop builder pack, though, sounds very intriguing. Especially the fact they'll be able to handle 'land and air.' Can't wait to see them. ... and then hit up Gridiron Studios to further outfit them.

Oof... I had just commented that maybe I'd be able to use Jazzwares Call of Duty figures as generics for Classified and Hasbro announces a generic troop builder pack offering. Sigh - I'm going to be broke.

The announcement of Agent Helix is interesting too. Being unfamiliar I looked her up and she first appeared in 2009 in the Rise of Cobra line. So Hasbro sending a clear message that they plan to continue mining all eras of Joe for this line.

I'm fine with that. Wasn't it announced that Shadow Tracker (another character introduced around the time of Helix) was in the pipeline as well? I could be wrong.

I wouldn't mind a complete reimagining of Helix's look. It's fine, but it doesn't do a whole lot for me. I am excited to see what she looks like though.

Will the troop builders be green shirts or Steel Brigade? Either way, they will probably be awesome.

Helix and Shadow Tracker are two of the very best of the modern additions, I’d also throw in Bombstrike and her brothers as well for characters I’d love to see make the cut. Daina of the Oktober Guard received a really cool update as well, they could just include her as a Czech secret agent given the Warsaw Pact hasn’t been a thing for 30 years now. Vypra and Poison Asp could be nice as far as filling up the Cobra side goes.

It's described on Hisstank as green shirt builder pack, which is what I'd definitely prefer.
