Them moving away from TMNT designs saves me money I guess.

Hmm, that guys is def different from the Lion/Tiger tease. Maybe "vol 2" has a few offerings.

I just wonder why they went with an obvious Leatherhead look-alike, and then jumped right into new characters.

Wouldn't it be better to get at least a couple familiar characters out before putting in new ones?

I don't think it was a "bait and switch", as much as a chance to legitimatize. They started by obviously, and probably illegally, using the TMNT IP. Sales were likely better than they expected, and with the BBTS contract they had an opportunity to do something less risky. Who wouldn't want to go legitimate if given the chance?

If these fist two releases turn out nice, then they will likely have my business. I'm always in for good anthropomorphic toys.

If I wasn't collecting multiple lines already, plus not in danger of losing my job soon, I'd definitely be interested in other figures from them that weren't TMNT characters, but sadly that's just not in the cards for me right now.
