Hasbro could make Rocksteady and Bebop in their human form as Bulk and Skull.

They could also make Krang as Zordon... But why on earth would they?

Because they can.

Getting second runs has the advantage of missing out on faults that get fixed.

I still think the turtles themselves are too tall and thin (I never watched anything past MMPR, so the in universe explanation for using the Sentai footage doesn't hold water for me). I also think the helmeted heads should be wider, and the less said about the turtle's heads themselves the better, BUT I still preordered all 4 of the releases because I love TMNT (especially the IDW series) and love having unique versions of the turtles in my collection.

Since these are apparently still cast samples, I will hope a few things will see some improvement by release.

The marvel legends team on Twitter seems to be cozying up to the TMNT quite a lot in recent weeks thanks to the announcement of this series. I can't help but wonder if I'm reading tea leaves where I shouldn't and they have much bigger plans for the property. Do you think they could potentially buy the master license out from under Playmates?

I think you might really be dreaming here. That we're getting these figures is one thing, mainly because Hasbro now owns the Power Rangers, but I think that's as far as it'll go. It was the same thing with the DCC Batman/TMNT line.

I’d love a full Legends treatment for TMNT, but I don’t see it happening. I do think Next Mutation figures could be possible though.

I commented on some official packaging art for these on IG and pointed out that Shredder even has the white diamonds on his shirt in the official art. Loretta from the design team liked my comment.

Does this mean that

A) there’s a chance this could get fixed for production considering they said the samples we saw weren’t final?

B) that Loretta would allow me to take her out for the finest meal you can get at Cracker Barrel?

Twitter user @RangerSelect posted a bunch of new packaging and solicitation images for this wave. I'm guessing these are the first factory samples so that certainly keeps this line on track for April and maybe sooner. Looks pretty much the same to me, still no white diamonds on Shredder. Just posting the first Tweet with Shredder, but he has images for the two packs as well, if you're curious.

Really wish the foot soldier figure wasn't in a two-pack with a turtle. Wouldn't mind a few of those.

To be fair, it isn't intended to be a generic foot, it's Tommy as a foot.

The Turtles' heads look better than the promo pics. Can't wait to get my Raph Tommy set.

That same account just got Mikey, and I wasn't sure if this was the first we saw of the weapons combining? Either way, the weapons combine:
