As of last night, I went for them. Used some money I received as an X-Mas gift last month and $62 in Mezco rewards to pay for the set up front. As a stand-alone set of Ninja Turtles, I’m completely happy with what I see.
I wanted the glow-in-the-dark Super 7 versions for my glow-in-the-dark display, but for a regular, modern action figure set of Turtles, these were the ones I wanted. I don’t need them to be accurate to any particular source material, they all registered as TMNT for me. I see the various inspirations from different versions in these, but it works for me.
The ONLY thing I may have wanted that wasn’t included was red bandana heads for all of them. I’d be okay with the different shades of green on the turtles, but red bandanas for all would have put it over the top for me. Since they’re not included, it’s just me being picky. The Mirage versions from NECA never showed up in my area some 16 or so years ago, so since I was never able to get the color or B&W versions of them, I was hoping maybe this set would include alternate red bandana heads, but alas…
It would have sweetened the set that much more for me, but I know I’m really going to enjoy this set despite that.

Mezco: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Again, for anybody complaining about the lack of a dedicated set of turtle heads with the unified red bandanas from the mirage comics run in the Mezco set, the Jim Lawson styled Turtles are coming later this year from Neca and that set is only going to set us back around $125 unless it also includes an accessory pack and all indications is that it won’t. And even if it did, those are optional. So if you want comic styled turtles more than anything, you needn’t worry. Comic book styled turtles are coming out this year no matter what.
Also, keep in mind that even if this set did come with that extra Raphael head that proved to be the elusive cherry on top for those of you who are chasing after the comic styled look for all four brothers, remember that each turtle has a different skin tone to their bodies. So even if Raph was included, the skin tone on the head would be mismatched. So you’re better off going with the Neca Mirage turtles anyway.

Huh, looks like direct pre-orders are still open on Mezco's site.

I wouldn't be surprised if they closed the window at midnight EST tonight. They mentioned the 26th as the last day on Instagram, but I also remember two days ago they said the pre-orders were closing the next day at 11:59 PM. Some wires likely got crossed somewhere. If the pre-order window is still open tomorrow, cool. Whoever still wants them can go for them. The more the merrier.

With everything included (duties, fees, shipping) these cost $575 to ship to Europe... That's $144 per figure, I can't justify spending that kind of cash for figures I'm not even sure I like all that much. Shame we didn't get to see a prototype before the pre-order window closes.

Italian retailer had it for 470 euros. Still too expensive for me.Freditor wrote: ↑Thu Jan 26, 2023 10:58 pmWith everything included (duties, fees, shipping) these cost $575 to ship to Europe... Never even occured to me to check if local retailers have these... I found one that has them for 490 euros. That's still a lot of moolah.

It's part of their 5 Points line, the logo is in the bottom left corner.

If people are excited about this 5pt line, I'd highly recommend just getting the TMNT x Stranger Things box set. They're great simple Mirage turtle figures and at $20 each (you have to sell off the ST figures), I think they're better than these.

Re: Mezco: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
I think it's more people (me included) quick glancing the pic and thinking it's a variant One:12 set. Which is expected since the Deluxe TMNT set is one Raph head short of swapping heads and making all 4 Mirage flavored, like they're saving that for another release.
At least that's the 30 second thought process I had when the reveal was made....

Re: Mezco: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
They look great but looks like the first 5 Points figures to have ball and socket joints at the shoulders and hips. The real question is what those preposed arms and legs look like and are there enough neutral poses arms and legs fro everyone.
And of course Mezco's haphazard distribution of the 5 Points line.

It's actually 3 heads short... you can't use the Raph heads on the other Turtles since the skin tones are differentRoboKillah wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 7:08 pmI think it's more people (me included) quick glancing the pic and thinking it's a variant One:12 set. Re: Mezco: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Aw dang, I forgot about that! Still though, an all red bandana team (and now all the same skin tone, thanks for the reminder) seems like a no-brainer. Maybe in 2028.Freditor wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 8:34 pmIt's actually 3 heads short... you can't use the Raph heads on the other Turtles since the skin tones are differentRoboKillah wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 7:08 pmI think it's more people (me included) quick glancing the pic and thinking it's a variant One:12 set.
