You absolutely can NOT go by those carton numbers to guess at a production run. Those "below the line" carton numbers have everything to do with container pack outs and shipping, and not directly production numbers. Multiple shipments are sent with most any product, and shipment types (drop vs country of destination shipping, etc.), and arrival ports absolutely vary (example: BBTS might go though the port of Long Beach, while S7 direct goes through the port of SF) so that is a factor, and there could absolutely be other products within the same container that get counted in a carton pack out, it just depends on how the factories categorize it (again, another variable) and the shipping agents represent the counts in their manifests.

You are not going to get that answer that way, and companies don't generally make that proprietary information public anyway.

I’ve got two pieces in process right now and a third slated. Custom pieces are the house seasoning of a collection.

I genuinely feel bad for anyone who hasn't had a good experience with BBTS customer service, and legitimately wonder how, when all my issues have been handled like this:

Offered to send the broken one back, they just shipped a new one & said "don't worry about it." :|

Man...THIS hits my childhood HARD...

I never watched nor owned any TCats (and never heard of Tigersharks until adulthood), but I had every single Silverhawks everything. Only TMNT outnumbered/overshadowed them.

(Reason my Mandora bike has no pilot: )

Hoping BBTS will replace her.

A truly lame question about collecting this line since I just impulse bought my first four figures a few weeks back (and they're beautiful!). Is this a "keep the packaging, you fool" line or a "just enjoy the toy, you fool" line? I'm usually a recycle and store safely collector (and I really don't resell much, but I always wonder if I'm making a mistake when they're shipped so carefully displayed in-box like these guys are).

I'm in the same boat- I have bought all of Super 7 Thundercats except the GITD Mumm-Ra- and haven't opened a single one yet- because by the time I get a preorder it's already worth more than what I paid for it, and right now I still haven't made the space for them for display.

I open most of them, but I keep the boxes as well. The packaging is pretty nice from Super7 and I don't want to toss them away. Especially since I usually keep figures not on display in the boxes anyway.

If it is something carded and I have to tear it open to get the figure then I usually throw away the packaging unless I keep in MOSC.

I open all of them. I started the process of putting all the accessories together in a bin and throwing out the boxes but, that's still a WIP so I still have quite a few s7 boxes from thundercats and other lines.

Definitely planning on opening them, but the packaging is done nicely enough I could save and store them for later. Stuff like Hasbro or McFarlane I tend to toss the packaging as fast as I can open it, but these feel like they might be a special case. I just don't have a tone of room. (I recently got rid of all my Mythic Legions packaging and it was weirdly freeing, wondering if I should avoid piling it up like that again with the Thundercats, though I'm not sure how deep I'll go with the line beyond the core cast yet.)

So... for whatever reason, though I'm actively anti packaging for virtually everything I buy - the Ultimates presentation with it's slipcover sleeve and overall presentation just makes me hang on to them. The figures are loose and on displays but I can't bring myself to toss the boxes. I have packed them up in moving boxes and put them in a corner in my attic for now... which begs the question why not just ditch them? But I haven't, so...

I have dumped all Ultimates boxes. I initially tried to save them when I got the first wave of TMNT. But the plastic around some of the pieces and figures was so stiff and difficult to remove from and replace pieces to. I said screw it. However, breaking these boxes down is a pain in the ass. It’s not like typical mass market boxes that use tape and tabs. Super7 uses a pretty strong adhesive, almost like rubber cement but tougher. The trapezoidal shape also makes it so they don’t fold down easily either. And the plastic trays and windows are different gauges, which don’t actually have a recycling number printed on them (my town is picky about that). So everything about discarding them is actually kind of annoying, but I don’t have the space to keep them so out they go.

I was disappointed to see that the ghost Jaga figure has what appears to be a non removable belt, which stops him being show accurate. But then thought that it might be possible to swap the overlay from him with the one from a regular Jaga and just paint them up. That way you’d only need a younger head for the regular Jaga to make him accurate. Also as the ghost version doesn’t appear to be getting a soft goods cape, I might reach out to cosmic capes and see if they can make one, as his cape mostly is draped over the front on one side when in ghost form.

Fingers crossed that if they do another vehicle, that it’s a sky cutter. Nose diver would be nice too, but I feel like it will be much easier for them to do a sky cutter. Could also do that four barrel cannon that vulture man used once.
