Re: Storm Collectibles Street Fighter
I remember ordering that set of figures with Zangief, Honda, and Dhalsim and already having a pot of hot water ready to go to loosen them up. Never been so nervous to open figures before or since. I got them moving then, but a couple years ago I grabbed Zangief off the shelf and tried to move his arm that completely disintegrated at the bicep. RIP.

Who else has been announced for this Street Fighter line? Balrog, Juri, anybody else?

Re: Storm Collectibles Street Fighter
Yep, definitely. I had breakage on Honda, Zangief, Dhalsim and R. Mika. Probably the worst QC I've ever delt with in my life. All the other Sota SF series prior were miles better.Boy Wonder wrote:I remember ordering that set of figures with Zangief, Honda, and Dhalsim and already having a pot of hot water ready to go to loosen them up. Re: Storm Collectibles Street Fighter
Juri has had a prototype displayed. Unfortunately it's the V gear instead of the much better looking and iconic IV. That's the only pending new character I can think of.

Re: Storm Collectibles Street Fighter
I could've sworn at some point they announced Balrog somewhere. Maybe it was just wishful thinking.

Hmm, they have been known to put character art into their convention promo catalogs and banners, so maybe Balrog showed up there? I don't recall such a thing, but I don't follow it too closely. I think they were doing that with Guile ahead of his USF2 figure being shown.
But as far as prototypes of previously unmade characters go, it's just Juri.

Interesting. That may be what I'm thinking of then. Hopefully some news will come out sooner than later on who may be next.jimbles wrote:Hmm, they have been known to put character art into their convention promo catalogs and banners, so maybe Balrog showed up there? Balrog and Zangief artwork appeared in their catalogue, maybe late 2020 / early 2021, possibly at a WinterFest in Asia.

Can’t wait for Zangief to ship.
We’re getting really close to completing the original SFII roster. Really hope Blanka and Dhalsim are announced soon.

Re: Storm Collectibles Street Fighter
Finally got SF4 Evil Ryu. It's a nice mix of old and new. By old I mean that there's nothing really surprising there, just a solid figure with the standard array of heads, hands, sculpt and articulation. But the body is entirely new and it looks great, love the sculpt. Haven't compared him to any of the older SF figures yet but seems like he has the usual long arms and slightly short upper torso. His head, though, is noticeably bigger. And it adds visually to the SF4 style of thick bodies, big heads and wide necks. The new hadoken is very unique. So are the flames/bad energy but they're not as interesting to look at as I expected.

Still surprised we haven’t got an R. Mika with Storm’s tendency for doing wrestlers. The figuarts is nice but I’d love a storm version.

Re: Storm Collectibles Street Fighter
Sigh. Every time I see this thread updated I pop in to see if they have finally announced they will be doing Blanka or Dhalsim. Then I slink away in disappointment to hide until the next time.... lather, rinse, repeat.
