I have MP Grimlock to go with my other 4 Fans Toys Dinos, but now I kind of regret passing on Grinder. Do you feel like the upgrade it worth it for the difference in size?

I do. Not only do I think he is better proportioned than MP-08 (wider, bulkier) but compared to other MPs, Grinder is the better size. And then, if you have the rest of the FansToys' Dibots, MP-08 doesn't fit well. Again, he's short but also looks way too skinny.

Although, your opinion may vary if you keep your Dinobots in Dino mode. I display my Dinobots in 'Bot mode and the larger size really displays well that way.

sepster, are the G1s you photograph the originals you got growing up or reissues?

I guess it doesn't matter since it goes for $300+ on ebay. I figured it would be cheaper since it was originally $200 and had multiple releases. I keep mine in dino mode anyway, so the difference isn't too noticeable. Maybe if they release it again I'll buy one.

Most are the originals, some are reissues. Going back through the thread:

Originals

Red Alert
Astrotrain
Smokescreen
Mirage
Trailbreaker (My original Trailbreaker had lost an arm and was in pieces, so I bought another for-parts TB on eBay and pieced one complete figure back together. He's mostly my original)
Hoist (Had to repair one foot that had broken off at the ankle)
Optimus Prime (I disassembled him and airbrushed all of the chrome parts and the red on his chest/cab front)
Constructicons
Perceptor
Grapple (I repaired the springs in his forearms as they had come out of place and his hands would not stay in at all)
Powerglide
Warpath
Blitzwing
Grimlock (I had to find a replacement chest piece on eBay and a got Reprolabels for all of my Dinobots)

Reissues:

Jazz
the Aerialbots (they might actually be knockoffs. I think I bought a cheap set off eBay about 15-20 years ago)
Starscream (my original was broken and missing a lot of pieces)
Thundercracker
Skywarp
Dirge

I've also fixed most all of the factions stickers on both originals and reissues. A lot of my originals were really crooked or not centered (I guess stickering wasn't a strong suit as a child).

Each Blitzwing released feels like it just slightly misses the mark. Seems like the tank mode always has some kind of compromise.

FansToys Berserk/Blitzwing is my longest standing preorder at BBTS. I don't think I'll ever cancel it. But I don't think it'll ever get fulfilled. If FT finally does get around to actually making this, I'm hoping they honor that preorder price! It's priced at HALF of what they charged for their Astrotrain, so I doubt they'll keep this preorder as is. I'm guessing they cancel then reoffer.

Hey y’all. I need some advise. I was a BIG TF collector as a kid. Just bought a few random pieces in recent years. But with all the 1986 stuff coming out I’ve decided to do a little TF the Movie diaroma. My question is, which Optimus will go best with those figures, size wise and being a G1 classic design? I have 2 Siege Optimus but I’m afraid they’re not tall enough. And forget about the RED one.
Anyway thanks for any feedback (and I’ll also be back for a rec for a G1 Megatron when I inevitably start the decepticons 😂)

Blacharachnia has got to have one of the worst and most drastic comparisons.
