Quick thoughts on Skelegod.

I like it and it’s a nice figure but the ankle joints are not sturdy enough to not worry about it falling over constantly, especially on a hot day.
It’s like others say that there is a cheap gumminess to the plastic.

The cape dosn’t bother me as much in person.

For me personally the figure is better for customs or headswaps but since I bought 2 I will keep one as is.

The head is great for popping on other figures especially Origins Skeletor, which I didn’t have handy.

I give it a 7 out of 10 and hope Mattel improves the joint issues going forward.

Here’s some quick pics

“Warduke” is from Mythic Legions

Cthulu is from a MAFC sale. Great sculpt.

Unsure if this is old news, but just ran into an endcap shelf full of Masterverse Battle Cat at a Target in Northern CA. (DPCI 087-16-7468)

Checked out fine at self-checkout, unsure if there’s a release date at all. Oddly, none of the individual figures out (though I did pick up Skelegod at another Target in the Bay Area).

I wanted to scream at Jay C while watching his Skelegod review. He put the shoulder harness over the green neck piece and left it that way for the whole video.
A Target associate pulled a Skelegod from the backroom. He's kind of growing on me. I would've passed, but getting a new figure from a new line, right now, won out over waiting. Besides the gumminess and loose ankles, I really dislike the double jointed elbows. It's an ugly design and the figure loses the boulder like MotU biceps.

I agree the double joints are not necessary on all figures. Some look very gaudy with them.

I don't think my store has sold a single Skelegod figure since stocking them Tuesday.

Meh. I got him. I think the figure looks cool enough. I also managed to get a sky sled for order pick up as well with the new online discount.

It's a bizarre decision for him to be the first figure in the line to come out since he's the least recognizable. I bet if it were regular HM and Skeletor in stores there'd be none left.
Despite how much I hate the look of him, I expect Skelegod will sell much better when the show is out and people can actually get invested in the design. Right now, it literally means nothing to people so it's not surprising that people just don't really care.

Yea I'd wait until the show releases but my target is already down to 3 left. Me included. I Also feel like people are just starting to notice that he's out.

So wave one doesn’t hit until September? Wave 2 is October?
