I managed to get my one Frog and a Multiverse Netflix He-Man (can't find him anywhere). At first the site crapped out on me at cart and I had to restarter all over. Was put into a 3 min queue, but after that checked out fine. I think he had sold out right after.

I think the problem with checking out for a lot of people was that Mattel, in all their online selling wisdom, decided to have both Frog Monger and their "Super Treasure Hunt" Hot Wheels box set go up for sale at the same damn time!!!! I think that put even more strain on the system.

To make matters worse for me I got all the way through and then it said it couldn't ship to my address!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT IN THE HIGH HOLY #$%??? This was after having to wait with the screen of death (page won't load). Then the estimated wait time went from unknown, to three minutes, then two minutes, then less than a minute. All the while I am waiting and worrying, only to have the address snafu.

I had to go back and clear my order out of my cart and try again. Unfortunately it kept happening every time I tried to check out. Now I'm freaking out, swearing up a storm and trying to figure out what the hell to do. It made no sense since I had placed orders with MC many times since the PowerCon exclusives with no problem. Of course during this time is ticking away and I'm starting to sweat bullets.

Finally I looked at the address more closely. Everything was fine, all correct, so what the hell??? Then I looked closer and there was a drop down bar with the auto-fill address. I clicked and there were three addresses in the menu. ALL THE EXACT SAME, NO F#$$-IN DIFFERENCE. So I just decided to click on the bottom one and that worked!!! The process went through and I got my two Frog Mongers.

Great Googly Moogly was that a disaster. At least now I know for next time to try the drop down menu trick before going further.
My wife just decided to stop collecting Monster High (again), but apparently this same thing just happened to basically all Canadian collectors of that line when they did their latest online release. No one in Canada could get the site to recognize their address, but a few finally managed it basically by hammering the system over and over. But yeah.. it seems to be a '[email protected]#$ Canada' thing. As usual.

Still would have liked to see Frog Mongor at retail, myself. This release doesn't make sense to me except to squeeze a bit more cash out of collectors. None of the way they're doing this makes sense. It's too hard to sell this at retail - but instead of going made-to-order and knowing EXACTLY how many to make, they decide to just guess and make a set amount and either underproduce or overproduce anyway. Silly.
Yeah ever since they switched to making people pay in their home country currency things have been wonky (putting in nicely) with MC. Not to mention the crap exchange rate they use for us in Canada. That Super Treasure Hunt set was $250US, but for Canadians it was $400Cdn!! The "official" exchange rate puts $250US at $334Cdn!!! Where the #$%# do they come up with the extra $66?

The same goes for MOTU:O. It doesn't look so bad at the individual figure level ($18US - $26Cdn when it should be $24Cdn). It just seems all over the place. The He-Man 4 pack is about $20Cdn more than it should be with the exchange rate, and don't get me started on Eternia.

Anyway, as to Frog Monger specifically, I think he would have been a peg warmer at retail. Now of course retail is the ultimate goal for any manufacturer because you won't sell more units any other way. However it is clear things are not what they were for MOTU:O even a year ago. So getting this guy through MC is better than nothing I suppose and, at least for Americans, the price isn't too far off retail. Plus I don't know if I want MC to start going the Super7 route, especially for individual figures rather than a wave.

Maybe Mattel will do another run with an alternate colour scheme to get more of the figure out there?

I almost always forget the drops during the workday, especially those in the afternoon. Weekend GI Joes drops or 9am on a workday is no problem. I must be out of my rhythm by the afternoon because I had thought about the sale three hours prior, but then I completely forgot about it until late in the afternoon.

For those still looking for the Roton, it is now IN STOCK @ BBTS. They’ve been shelf warming at the Walmarts here, but I know many have never found one.

Late to the party, but I was able to grab a Frog Monger on Tuesday, making it the first Mattel Creations item I was able to purchase that wasn't a pre-order. (Also, when I logged in a few minutes before the sale went up, the status on my Wun-Dar pre-order changed to "Processing," so hopefully, I'll get him soon. Grizzlor's going to be a longer wait).

The only thing that made me more excited about getting a Frog Monger was the article they posted at TNI the following day that shows the designer's notes on the Frog Monger sketch that identifies his chest, arms and legs as belonging to Modulok. Modulok is my most wanted toy in this line, so the fact that at least some tooling for him exists, makes me VERY excited.

Wish the nest wave would go up for pre-order or we'd get some new reveals. I'm still waiting on a Rattlor from BBTS, but other than that, I'm completely caught up.

Actually saw a two Thunderpunch He-Mans and a King Hiss this past week at Target, so it's nice to see some new product at retail. Of course, there are still solid pegs of mini-comics Stratos everywhere.....

I asked before, but I'll ask again LOL - did anyone take the Filmation He-Man out of the 4 pack and snap a picture of him with the 5" Super7 Filmation figures?

Can't seem to find a pic of that online...

That Super7 updated vintage head sculpt is mostly just animated hair. The face sculpt still evokes the original toy more than the animation.

YES! Oh bless you - I'd been looking around for months and didn't find anything showing the new Filmation figure next to the previous Super7 one. Wow, he's much taller! I wonder how he looks next to Super7's Filmation Teela...

I really hope Mattel makes a Filmation Skeletor to go alongside him, since the Super7 one will clearly not be tall enough.

Of course, Mattel still needs to give this Filmation He-Man a wide release *nudge nudge*

I don't know how much of a difference it makes with the height, but Super7 figures are permanently bent at the knees like the original Mattel vintage figures. That makes them appear shorter. They're probably still shorter, but the modern Mattel figures can stand up with straight legs.

Am I crazy or did the Whiplash wave already come and go? I could have sworn that wave was supposed to come out a long time before the Snake Men themed packaging, but now it looks like that wave is hitting or about to be hitting?
I am so far behind on this line and what's where and when.

Yeah, the Whiplash Wave has been released. As well as the Wave after with the Snake Armor He-Man and the Snake Men. But that is here in the US.

Maybe the Whiplash Wave is about to start hitting where you are in Canada. Hell, I wouldn't have the Whiplash Wave if I didn't order it from BBTS. Because I have never seen them or any wave beyond the Buzz Off, Sorceress, Jitsu, and tan colored Stratos Wave which are in piles taking up all the shelf space.

I've never seen the Whiplash wave in stores but I did manage to grab him online and saw him go online multiple times last Decemeber. Still looking for Mantenna and waiting for my Gamestop Snake Men pre-order. The distribution for these are all screwy again to nearly nonexistent at Retail.

I have only seen the Whiplash wave with online retailers up here. And most of them have already sold out of the big boys from that wave.

I haven't seen anything at retail since the AE He-Man/Sun-Man wave. Except for that blip a couple weeks ago with some small quantities of the Webstor/Stinkor wave hitting Walmart shelves.
