For the Canadians out there, Amazon.ca has the Batmobile, Keaton Batman and Batwing back up. Although the Batmobile at $99.99 CAD seems high. I recall seeing Canadian online toy stores having it around $85 when it was first available for preorder.

First in hand that I have seen. This is the Keaton Batman to play around with, for $20ish- fantastic value and no worries about failing joints or rubber costumes.

Might just pass. Holding out hope they do a Burton based line someday repurposing some elements of these molds.

I'm still sticking with this Batman.

I don't get the muddy boots, that's disappointing to see. Just........WHY? At the same time, black is the easiest color to custom paint.

"Doesn't look like Keaton" is a statement that I still feel is heavily influenced by how we remember him in the 89 suit. TBH, when I saw him in the trailer, I didn't think he looked like Keaton either. He's old, his lips no longer have that puckeryness of 35 years ago. He looks different now, especially in the suit. That's the "pass" I'm giving to this figure.

$20? You can't go wrong here. Your current Keaton alternative is six times this price. I'll take the little things that are off at this price. There's also something to be said for not having to worry about putting the figure through its paces when posing it around. If something goes terribly wrong here, send it back to the big box retailer you got it from. This is as close to "no risk" as the adult action figure collector can get.

I found a partial wave at Target today. They had both Flash figures along with Supergirl. I almost picked up Supergirl, but decided to wait when I found the Indy figures.

Agree on price, however Todd often releases a better version of something later. I wouldn't be surprised if these get repurposed into 89 figures later. Still, buying multiple versions probably is still cheaper than trying to find the NECA one.

I had the same thought regarding his likeness. His face is much...flatter?...than it was 30 years ago. The pouty lips have given way to wrinkles & the passage of time. I think the face here looks quite a bit like what we see in the trailer, so I'm very happy with it. Close enough for me for $20-$22, and ultimately - he could have turned out like the "Ben Affleck" Batman (woof).

If Todd does a specific '89 Batman or a Returns Batman and uses this face, then I'll shake my head about it. Otherwise I'm happy. And if there's no movie reason for his boots to have green on them, then I'll paint them.

My problem is that likeness is soft compared to how Keaton looks in the trailer. Perhaps it is closer in hand than in the photos so far.

McFarlane's human actor likenesses get softened up due to excessive paint much like Diamond Select Toys.

I think the sculpt for a lot of these figures is there but just gets lost with paint caked on.

I think NECA is the master of the sculpt and paint balance. Almost all their human figures retain all the intricate facial sculpt details while utilizing paint to its' maximum effectiveness without sacrificing or softening the likeness.
