Yes, as part of the dark knight collection… Kenner made a new batwing that’s a bit more movie accurate and it transformed into a car vehicle.


Never got this as a kid and been trying to hunt one down that wasn’t incomplete…

Really excited with John Stewart, but BWL was something I thought (hoped) I could avoid seeing in this line. Ah well. Hopefully we keep getting vehicles or even a playset with every wave.

I was lucky enough to have the Kenner Batmobile, but the Batwing always eluded me, and I dont even remember seeing it much except for the very top shelf at TRU. I remember that year they had some promotion with NBC where if you played some game that corresponded with that seasons saturday cartoon line up, you could win a "prize" when you went to TRU. Here I was thinking I was going to be taking that Batwing home, when the customer service counter gave me some cheap little frisbee the size of a coffee cup lid. That might have been my first "be sure to drink your ovaltine" moment of youth lol.

I have this and it's a sweet piece! II found it at my LCS many years ago and it's since blown up on the aftermarket. I actually disassembled it and removed to the two rear wheels for the car mode and now the silhouette looks like the bat symbol.

So, as much as I like the Batwing, I'm very disappointed in the Batman design selection.

Has anyone figured out a way to track these? I've tried multiple UPC and codeword searches, but nothing so far.

This is all…wow. I may put my DC collecting money towards these entirely if McF doesn’t put out stuff like Death and Return of Superman, Knightfall, and other stories from the recent past. I don’t care about movie or TV figures (unless it’s Reeve, Keaton, and Routh from COIE) and I couldn’t care less about modern stuff like Death Whatever and Future State. The cheaper price point, vehicles and potential for playsets overrides my Multiverse interest outside of what I mentioned. While I’m waiting on stuff like that and Morrison’s JL, I’ll be buying Superman and Batman variants in Multiverse and everything else will be Super Powers.

I might hunt for these today. This going to hit a sweet spot for a lot of us and the vehicles make it 100x more fun. Transformers has brought me back into my childhood very well for a number of years now.....now I can go to Walmart and see classic He-Man and a Batwing....crazy.

I didn't realize the vehicles also have an action. That's great! Not stoked about the Batman Who Laughs, though. I hope they start making classic figures that never made the line-up. Characters like Two-Face and Scarecrow could check that sweet spot of passing as both modern and Bronze Age if done correctly.

Looks orange to me, which matches the Super Powers Batmobile and Batcopter perfectly.

Strangely enough, the Toy Biz Batwing was the closest to the movie. The Dark Knight Collection relied too much on the transforming gimmick, which messed up the accuracy a good deal, giving it the added details of a different back section. Plus the Toy Biz version had the fun scissor/capture claw from the movie.

What’s strange to me is no one had any preorders for these? These just went straight to retailer shelves? These are not exclusives right?

And while I’m not necessarily against modern and new stuff showing up in SP, I really wish they focus more on getting the original SP characters out. I wanna see a classic Joker or metallic Braniac before Batman Who Giggles.

Exactly! We only knew these were coming due to a leaked list, but McFarlane hasn’t released any promotional pictures, no videos announcing them or even preorder links. They’ve just been popping up in toy aisles.
