Amazon finally shipped my Dark Knight Trilogy Scarecrow after delaying it three weeks and saying it’d come at the end of April.

My problem with the Vampires isn’t the cost cutting measures, it’s the fact that they’re not accurate to the story, which I read. Batman and Joker were never turned. They were killed by the Vamps. Not interested in the figures.

Now the rumored Superman and Hal Jordan were turned. I may buy them.

BTW, I do want the Vampire Batman, just the one from Red Rain.

I totally get how someone very invested in the story would be unimpressed with the vampire offerings.
I haven’t read it, nor am particularly likely to read it, and I’m just down for vampires in general and also for the much-improved [black]Hush Bats body and the equally much-improved Criminal Joker body. If the same holds for Hal, I’m in.

People are assuming a giant size for the Anti-Monitor, but theres (unfortunately, imo) a strong possibility it’ll be the more recent version from around the time Death Metal, who was smaller. Especially since Todd loves the Metal stuff and has shown a preference for modern looks.

Not a must read by any stretch. But it’s a fun Elseworlds type story with some fun character moments and some interesting plot twists. Matthew Rosenberg continues to develop as a writer and a sequel seems imminent. Light weekend reading, although I’d wait for the trade if you’re inclined. Not as good as DCeased or Dark Knights of Steel, but solid. Rosenberg writes the current Joker and Wildcats series and wrote Task Force Z which I enjoyed a lot.

As to the figures, I dunno. I just like it when the comics I read match up with the figures I collect. I was all kinds of pissed off when I found out Sky Tyrant was just Batman Who Laughs with a set of wings. I was certain it was the evil Dark Multiverse Hawkman.

I wouldn't buy that AntiMonitor, but I'd grab that Hawkgirl 100%.

I actually want that Anti-Monitor. I remember enjoying JL. I think it was current at about the time Todd's line was starting, or maybe when he announced the license. Classic seems a more obvious choice but IDK. We don't really have a lot of classic CRISIS looks, but we do have modern stuff for this newer rendition so it seems likely(ish).

Very happy to see Batman/Spawn still in play. It better impress. And Justice Buster appeals to me, would have preferred The Thrasher however.

And I’d take that Will Payton Starman 200%.

How do we know that the Batman figure in question won’t just be a repack of the hush Batman but with a new head and upper torso? That 3J Batman mold is around the same height as most of the figures in the Spawn Universe wave and all Todd would have to do is make some minor modifications to the Shadow of spawn figure and just repackage them both. I have no doubt in my mind that both DC and McFarlane toys will treat this 2-pack as just another cash grab, just like they did with the book itself

I could honestly see it going either way with the Batman/Spawn two pack. Easy repaints and minor retooling, or a flat out showpiece with two all new sculpts. Maybe an exclusive comic packed in. Todd loves that shit.

It would be just like Todd to pack an all new Batman with an amazing sculpt in a spawn 2-pack. He can be frustrating like that.

I still expect Spawn and Batman to be taller. The Spawn universe line has been the most guilty of scale creep out of all of Todd’s toylines and both Batman and Spawn stood shoulder to shoulder in the latest crossover

Not for nothing, but 2 major comic cons are going on this weekend. C2E2 in Chicago and Megacon in Orlando. Dunno if we get toy news, but the comic and media news should be poppin’.

Nothing like that happens at C2E2. The big 2 don’t even host panels anymore

It's entirely possible that the spawn batman if it is indeed a batman figure or two pack with batman could use the new knightfall batman buck just with black and grey.

Thats what he did with hush batman....
