Re: McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse General Thread
Todd, or someone in his orbit seems to love Jason. Maybe it’s a DC mandate. But a Jason head makes a lot of sense.

Received Grifter from GameStop today. Sealed package is missing his knife and sword, which I planned on replacing with guns anyway.

Still pretty lame that I got shorted.

Re: McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse General Thread
That sucks. It does almost seem like a "anyone buying Grifter is buying a gun pack" in retrospect, but that's likely apophenia kicking in.

Dude, I think that figure was opened and returned. From the photo, it looks like the little plastic string that holds the figure in place in the tray is missing. You can see the hole in the plastic tray below his right hand. Thats where the little tab on the string was attached. Which means someone had to have removed it. If I was you, I'd seriously consider returning it for another one.

Yep I noticed that too, it looks like you got one that’s been open and then returned with missing weapons.

Re: McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse General Thread
I guess swaps and thefts can still happen when you order online? I donno, I'm not that concerned. I already tore open the package, so I can't even tell anymore if it was tampered with. I probably wasn't going to use the sword or knife anyway, that's not that type of weapon I immediately associate with Grifter, even though I know he was Coda trained by Zealot to use swords. I found a couple guns in my parts bags that work well enough and fit in his hands. But his articulation sucks. It's limited by his chest and jacket, so he can't pose with the arms facing directly forward, let alone grip one gun with two hands.
Edit: Taking a closer look at the plastic tray that held the figure, it doesn't even have holes in it for those little plastic ties to thread through. I pulled the figure right out, and noticed it wasn't tied like the Princess Bride Vizzini I opened minutes before. But I don't think it was ever tied in to begin with. If it was a theft of the accessories, they hid it well. But I really don't think there was any tampering.

Us in the UK are having a heavy drought atm, its killing to see you guys in the States get these killer pieces early.
Thankfully found a guy who's kind enough to send me an Ultraman (no idea when he'll hit here, most likely end of year like the FE BAF), and got Hush and Infected Batman coming from Singapore now.
That Grifter and Godspeed though, they're must haves IMO

Any of you customizer types gonna try the Grifter head on the Hush body? Just curious.

Re: McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse General Thread
Best Buy is running a sale on McFarlane figures at the moment. Various DC figures on sale between $9.99 and $14.99. Finally went ahead and grabbed the McFarlane designed Wonder Woman and King Shazam for a combined $21 with free in store pick up. I always meant to get that Wonder Woman and hadn't, and had talked myself out of Shazam, but hard to pass at that price. Wish I had waited for this sale to get the Demon.

They're nice parts, you might consider if you want them in the future for another figure. Maybe some day WB will say "NO MORE KNIVES" or something stupid lmao
