Rather than painting I swapped the cod piece with the Detective 1000 Batman figure.

I think it looks better with the black shorts. Just when people change it from gray to black, McFarlane will come out with the Gold Edition with the variant black shorts.

Stopped at Walmart on a whim on the way home from work last night and found Batman! They had Swamp Thing to but I could only afford Bats. Today is payday so hopefully they still have a few Swamp Things left. jaygarrick 1940 that looks great! was it a simple boil and pop?

The legs simply pop off and the trunks just slide off on these figures.

So far, I've only picked up the Comedian and Red Hood. One store that was flush with RH on Monday was already sold out yesterday. Lots of Clown and Criminal. I'm trying to be patient, but my resolve is weakening.

Just an fyi doing what I did 3J Batman with Detective 1000 Batman cod piece you will loose a bit of range of motion because the Detective 1000 cod piece is harder and less flexible than the softer flexible 3J figures. I did it because I am just standing him on a shelf so the less range of motion isn’t an issue to me.

The legs only raise this high now

You could carve out some of the plastic in the diaper.

My Three Jokers Batman is coming this weekend. I like all the black trunk mods I'm seeing people do, but I'm also just fine with no trunks. I'm probably leaving mine as is. It's good to know that I will have this guy to fall back on in case my Y2 Batman has the same QC issues that a lot of people are having.

In the end, I think the belt is more classic looking on the Three Jokers version, and since the trunks fit better than if swapped, I elected to paint them black rather than swap:

Still very much looking forward to Batman, love Red Hood and Clown that I got last week! I think I will dig the Endless Winter wave more to be honest, but this is a great one. (answering the original post)

What type of paint did you use? I only keep asking people because I use the stuff they recommend for Warhammer minis and while it looks fine it flakes, and I find if I put the sealant stuff over it to prevent the flaking then it just looks ultra glossy? Any way to both seal it and prevent the paint rubbing in places? This seems to be the case even with matte level sealant.
