Re: Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective 6 inch DC figures
I'll find out for sure on Monday, but I got a bad feeling that this is just going to be a bust for me. Burns a little more that I bought 2 though. Funny, I had stopped buying Mezco for a few years, but the recent Dick Tracy reveals, The Shadow, and the more comic accurate releases like Superman and Golden Age Batman brought me back and got me excited for the line again (and starting to look for older figures I passed up). But this definitely brought my enthusiasm down some.

I don't know if this is one of the weirdest Mezco rollouts in years or if its just my anticipation to find out how the hell this guy holds up. Still no reviews from the usual reviewers. Did they not give out samples because they are that confident or because of.... some other reason....? I just can't call it. I think that white powder is to preserve/ protect the seamless body which you'll find with some TB League figures. I don't think its a sign of breakdown or decay but then again I switched majors from Chemical Engineering to IT. Let this be the Keaton of all Keatons!

In-hand video. Not looking too impressive, IMO. Besides the power, there are some other issues.

Three year wait and this is what we get? Who at Mezco thought that after three years, this would be acceptable and green light this as ready to go? The body is powdery grey, way to thin and stiff. What a disappointment!

Saw this coming - after seeing the alien figure seemed like it was destined to happen.
It also looks nothing like what they put out in 2019 at NYTF.

Re: Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective 6 inch DC figures
I saw the same unboxing and follow-up video and came here to see if anyone else did. As for pros, I think the heads generally look good except for the gimmicked one. I kind of like the idea of just using a magnet to connect it to the body since this is a character that can't turn his head anyway. At the same time, that magnet doesn't appear to be strong enough to sit the head flush on that cape and it looks kind of shitty as a result. And that ashy film looks horrible and I really hope it can be wiped off. Articulation looks like it's going to be piss poor and it sucks for that dude because he definitely has a busted arm on his figure and I'm guessing try to exchange it with Mezco will be like pulling teeth. It's starting to feel like Mezco didn't ship any samples out because they're worried about reception with this. If I wasn't confident that I'd be able to flip mine for cost I'd consider cancelling and eating the small NRD BBTS charges. As excited as I was the other night when pics first surfaced, I've basically done a total 180 after that video and the other images we're seeing now.

I just saw it, man. Absolutely unacceptable after all this time waiting and as such a high price. Wow. So disappointing.

Yeah, it’s Batman and I don’t think the Mezco bubble has burst yet. As bummed as I am, I’m seeing people elsewhere who think it looks great so I’m still expecting it to sell well. And if not, well I bought through BBTS and their return policy is fantastic.

I bought through Mezco (for the last time) so I'm on the hook for mine.

Giant eyes on that one head sculpt aside, I think I'll be pretty satisfied. I've paid more for worse looking things, and I think this looks good.
Get it out from the bright lights and on to a regular lit shelf & I think he's going to look pretty snazzy. If there were ever an action figure where I prefer limited articulation, it's the '89 Batman. Limited articulation means it will keep me honest, and I won't be tempted to have him posed doing anything he's not meant to do.
