I don't know if it means anything, but Mezco just sent out an email containing details on their Mezco Toy Fair thing and this caught my eye:

Boom Boom’s Baffling Brain-teaser → 3pm ET - 4 randomly selected winners will receive a DC Comics Prize Pack containing Batman - 1989 Edition, Superman - Man of Steel Edition, & Harley Quinn - Deluxe Edition.

If they're giving away Batman '89 as a prize could that mean it might actually be close to shipping? I've been just waiting for them to cancel it for the past year so if it actually gets released I'll be almost shocked.

EDIT: Apparently I'm late to the party, but either way, I hope it's actually coming soon.

I'm even later to the party. What is going on with this? Are they giving away a Keaton Batman as part of that giveaway? If so, why would that not mean that they have it ready-to-ship.

It looks like they are. It doesn't explicitly say "One:12," but the rest of the wording is exactly the same as the One:12 listing, including the referenced Superman and Harley. I don't know if it's entirely safe to assume it's ready to go (probably no safe assumptions with this release), but it certainly would make more sense for them to have it sometime soon if they're planning on giving one away. Unless someone is getting a voucher in their email with no release date, but that would be an odd way to run a give-away.

Hahaha, good old GNR reference... Chinese Democracy did eventually come out though, and it wasn't as terrible as it should've been considering the almost 20 years of pushbacks.

I agree though, everyone is getting all excited for the One12 89 Bats, but ill be honest, until it's in my possession, I won't get excited. Been let down too many times on this one.

That is a perfect comparison. I know I refused to believe Chinese Democracy was real until I had it in my hands. Now the real question is: Will the Batman figure come with a free Dr. Pepper?!

Superman and Mr. Freeze delayed to Feb-Mar and Mar-May respectively according to thetoypaige on Instagram. No mention of Keaton Bats for whatever that’s worth

Speaking of Freeze, if anyone is still looking for him to pre-order he's still on Fun.com for $119.99. He's pre-sold out on BBTS, EE, and Mezco's site. So just a heads up in case anyone was like me & still needed to order.

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I'm actually starting to have a "tiny" bit of faith the 89 Batman might actually ship sooner rather than later. The Flash trailer just dropped, Mezco still hasn't pushed back the release date and we are over halfway through February at this point. I'm not saying we will have him in hand by the end of February, but I do believe in the next 1-3 months, most people that have him pre ordered will have him in hand.

I mean I hope your right but right now I just hope it’s a strong release. Apparently there were complaints with the recent Alien Warrior figure which also had the internal skeleton. But as long as Michael Keaton Batman looks good enough to display on a shelf, I’m fine with that

Same. Hopefully Bats doesn't have the same issue as the Alien figure.
