HasLab Ghostbusters Proton Pack

I'm surprised there wasn't already a dedicated thread for this.

This thing is about to explode. Adam Savage just went over the prototype on the Tested YouTube channel.

I didn't realize how detailed this thing was.

Rancor is $350. This is $399. Insane how much more you get with your money for this. I’m moving some money around ATM but I plan to back the pack!

Watching the video now....and it's just crazy that some people have claimed that the Proton Pack hardly has any pieces compared to the Rancor.

This pack is way more involved. The more they show, the more detail I'm seeing. I'm thinking I might want to order some more....this thing is absolutely going to be worth more down the road.

Have there been any hints/rumors about Hasbro doing a Trap and a PKE meter?

I think they were holding back in case Afterlife flopped. Since it's a success, I REALLY hope they go all-in on props, figures, and everything else! I need a PKE meter that makes the correct sound. Mattel's version still bothers me.

The stand still says it's locked, but if we need 15,000 backers to unlock the Class IV Unlockable Stretch Goal: THE SUPERNATURAL STAND, we currently have 15,264, so hopefully that just keeps growing by Sunday at midnight!

Happy I'm Premium & backed in the preliminary window to get the slime, too!

I was going to pass and missed the window to get the slime, but I finally caved after seeing Afterlife. I was soured on the franchise, but the movie was decent. If the sequel continues with Winston running the business and a new team sating out I will be happy.

So had some unexpected expenses this month, but still just spent over $400 backing this. Never spent this much on a “toy” before, but I’ve wanted this since I was a kid and I know there will never be a more affordable one. Guess I’m going as a Ghostbuster for Halloween for the rest of my life!

Oops I have been updating in the Plasma Series thread, didn't notice this thread. Anyway, here we go:

Update:

Proton Pack: 17,436 / 7,000 (+1,509)

Skystriker (Final?): 16,734 / 10,000 (-5)
Rancor (Final): 8,535 / 9,000

So the Proton Pack is picking up the pace even more. Another 1500 added to the total. It has now passed the Skystriker. I really do think there is a chance this could challenge Galactus for the highest backed Haslab to date. Tomorrow, while somewhat anti-climatic, compared to the Skystriker and Rancor, should have some drama in seeing where it ends.

I don't know about going passed 31k, but anything is possible. It is sitting at over 18k now.

The stand is what made me finally back it. When it looked like the stand was going to be a lock I went in. I won't be wearing this, though maybe if I get an Alice frame for it.

I am still bullish on 31k just because it is still moving at a brisk pace, and the last day is usually one of the highest, if not the highest days for number of backers. The Skystriker pulled in just shy of 9,000 backers on the last day!!

The Proton Pack right now (8:30pm Eastern) is sitting at 19,441. That is up almost 120 backers from when I started this post. It actually went up 42 from the time I wrote this post to the time I hit submit. I had to go back a check again after writing the post, but before hitting submit.

So I can see it passing Galactus who started his last day in a similar spot to the Proton Pack. However I think the Proton Pack has perceived value in it's favour. From everything I have seen, heard, and read this past month, the Pack is a steal at $400 compared to what cosplayers would have to pay currently to get a pack. So that probably also helps goose the numbers quite a bit.

I mean when have we ever seen the general fandom say a Haslab was a great value in regards to the larger market? Usually it is the other way around and a lot of naysayers claiming they are over priced. Which I agree with in some cases, but not many.

Forgot to add that I am pretty sure this will be over 20,000 backers before I post my morning update tomorrow.

It only has 3 hours left, though. It's at just over 19.5k, but 12k in 3 hours???

We're up to 21k, that's 300% funded. I really hope Hasbro takes note of this success.
