I don't mind paying full retail for these. Helps support getting more monsters made.
Regarding a flight stand for the beholder, you can always use a plastic or glass glass.

No one excited/relieved to finally see Xenk? He looks pretty good - nailed the one facial expression.
I've never played D&D but I appreciate faithful merchandise and these figures definitely show effort! I'm excited for the movie, and glad the main cast is finally all represented.
Have people been finding Chris Pine in stores yet or is he shipping with the other two?

I haven't seen Pine's figure anywhere at retail. I picked him up on Amazon back when they weren't even listing him properly and he's definitely the best of the first wave.

Re: Dungeons & Dragons: We want more, Hasbro!
Got my wave 1 of HAT figures from Amazon yesterday, and at least so far, I lucked out on any breakage. A few tight joints, but nothing a little pressure didn't fix. The only bummer is that Simon has quite possibly the worst side-eye I've ever seen, and that includes when McFarlane did a run of side-eye on their DC figs. Looking closer, it looks like his eyes weren't printed exactly on their marks. It's not awful, per se, but is quite distracting. Not sure if I want to exchange him. I've lucked out on the plastic-free packaging so far, but this is the danger of it.
Other than that, they're quite nice figures. Surprisingly intricate in places. Edgin is definitely the standout, I think, even if he is perhaps the "plainest" of them all. Excited to see Xenk and Doric coming- having seen the movie, I have a feeling they'll be the 2 most in-demand figures. Pre-ordered the Doric Owlbear and Displacer Beast as well. Was hoping for a Sofina; hopefully the line sells well to at least get her in a 2 pack or something down the road.

Saw that Joe Mangianello is doing something with Dragonlance. Can we expect BIG MONSTAHS from that?

Re: Dungeons & Dragons: We want more, Hasbro!
after i posted the pic of the discounted animated figures, i stopped by one of my targets after work and found all three marked for $12.49. grab all three and they do look good and thankfully no issues nor brakeage. after hearing all e poor QC stories i'm glad i got these for this price instead of the full price.
now bring on wave two and i'll check back later for the 2-pack if it's marked down even lower.

Decided to preorder both owlbears yesterday. Never was into D&D for its own sake, but I'd love some (to me) generic monsters and other 1:12 generic humans/humanoids to add to my Witcher and LOTR displays.

The movie is an absolute delight! Fun, creative, fresh and surprisingly sincere. Totally charmed by all the characters, and I’m especially excited to see that Doric came out so well in figure form, in both forms. They need to round out the cast in figure form with Edgin’s daughter, creepy assassins, and some Red Wizard action.
. . . if they wanted to make a HasLab out of the chonk dragon, I would absolutely back it.

I kind of see the Michelle Rodriguez likeness in that pic. Nice work!
Seeing film tomorrow morning. Very excited! I too haven’t seen Chris Line figure. I’ve seen Hugh Grant, Michelle Rodriguez, and the Mage Justice Smith all over.
Anyone else buy the diceling dragons? I got Owlbear too. The dragons are cute and surprisingly nice little figit toys.

Just saw the movie and liked it a lot. Definitely gonna pick up the rest of the movie line, and I hope they get to some other characters as well.

Movie was fun. No desire to buy the characters even though they were charming and entertaining. The figures just aren’t that good. Actually Simon’s figure looks good. I think Doric’s figure looked good too. Haven’t seen Pine or the Paladin much. Paladin looks good too. Nah to the characters.
The monsters look cool and Owlbear had some fun scenes in the film. One thing minor thing was lame but it’s just like Hasbro’s decisions around their toys at times.
The accessories I’ve seen all have a part in the film. Shame Hugh Grants character didn’t come with a different accessory or two. Not really spoilery but pivotal.
