I hope this sets the stage for the death of Tommy on PR.
They should end his character sooner than later, instead of using him as a marketing tool for decades to come after the actor's death.

In the vast majority of cases, I am fine with, and would typically prefer, if my heroes just rode off into the sunset at some point and just let them live in my memories. That's what I wish they would have done with stuff like Star Trek, Indy, Ghostbusters......pass that torch off to new characters. PR is a little different just for the fact that they aren't as old as your Bill Murrays or your Harrison Fords or your Patrick Stewarts. These guys and gals are what, late 40's early 50s'? About the age of RDJ and some of the other Avengers when Endgame came out. So at least they are't hobbling out onto the set. If the director calls for them to do a jog form one end of the set to the other, they don't have to call in the stunt double.
I also think PR is in a pretty good place outside of this special. I've been watching Dino Fury and I think this current cast clicks very well, and they are carrying them over into the next incarnation of PR later this year. So I'm kind of excited about the future even without my old favorites.
Anyhow, I had to set this up when the trailer dropped yesterday:

I don't know, man. As excited as I am for the anniversary special, I don't know if I'm ready for them to tackle the deaths of TWO beloved characters so close together. If at all. Particularly considering JDF was so recently. If this special is just a one-and-done, maybe just let it be a one-and-done. Give it a happy ending and let this cast rest.

Might be worth a trip to Target. Blue Sentorian and the Silver Space bike were both marked down to 16.99. Ymmv when it comes to what Target marks down.

This is not news to anyone else in this thread, but Rose McIver and Eka Darville were Power Rangers?!?
Are there any characters from their run in the LC? A quick Google says no, but my brain doesn't keep the post-Zeo characters that well.

As for red, nothing yet. But he'll be done at some point most likely.
Re: Power Rangers Lightning Collection General Discussion
They played the Yellow and Red rangers in Power Rangers RPM respectively. The former's expected to hit at some point this year. Maybe. We don't know. We know she's coming thanks to leaks, but Hasbro's not good at keeping PR fans informed when it comes to release dates.

Re: Power Rangers Lightning Collection General Discussion
I've been thinking: With so many PR teams over the years, why not start doing some of those teams that have yet to have ANY members in action figure form like they did with the Alien Rangers. Offer up the whole set in one go as some retailer exclusive. That would knock a lot of the teams out quick and keep a lot of fans happy.
I'm watching Dino Fury right now and like the team a lot. But with them switching over to Cosmic Fury later this year, I'm thinking I'll wait until Hasbro starts doing the cast in those suits. I don't really want to wait x number of years for them to complete.......IF they do at all. Give me a six figure box set and call it good. Most of these are all reuse parts, it's Hasbro's bread and butter. Let's get some of these teams done!

Re: Power Rangers Lightning Collection General Discussion
That wouldnt work cause they want the line to last and make money. Most box sets, retailer exclusive or not, go on sale, and more people are inclined to wait for a sale or clearance on them. Single figures are a bit more considered for preordering and buying full price, cause it's one figure for a smallish amount instead of say, 5 for a big amount all at once. The Alien Rangers probably got done this way because they had a very limited amount of screen time and they don't have alternate heads iirc. Easy repaints of a short term team with very little new tooling. The psychos were kinda of the same. No alt heads, 3 of them were straight up repaints, 2 of which were repacks. I would prefer all the teams to get an equal amount of love, even the ones I don't necessarily care for. Alt heads, hands, weapons. But it seems even in single packed Hasbro is shitting the bed with some of them. I would hate to see them try to do say, the mystic force team in a box set. They would skimp on EVERYTHING.

Re: Power Rangers Lightning Collection General Discussion
I think there's plenty of characters left to keep the line going for years. I'm not saying offer up team sets as the new status quo, but give us one a year maybe, of teams that they haven't even started, and keep building out the teams they have started as singles. Maybe this can get them more bad guys and troopers (Putty-type characters) singles on the shelves as well.
As for the skimping issue, Hasbro needs no excuse for that. They'll skimp on singles or multi packs if they darn well please. So stop doing it, Hasbro. They can easily pack in all heads, hands, and weapons if they choose to put in that minimal amount of effort. They no longer have to worry about display space or presentation, put these all in their little paper bags, toss them in off to the edge of the box, it's no issue.

So I'm binging my way through Dino Fury and I'm into it. I found the next fight on my want list: Green Morphin Master. Looks like they are about 8 or 10 feet tall on the show, she'd make a great deluxe figure.

I found a banged up Blue Centurion at Target that was in the clearance section, it rang up for $24 so I picked it up. It's a lot of fun, I've always loved that design.

I saw him as low as $10 around me. Of course I got mine directly from Pulse at full price. But ultimately, I'd still rather pre-order and be assured than risk missing something playing clearance-chicken.

Thankfully the figure wasn't busted, but this is the second package from Target specifically via UPS that's been crushed (the other being Masterverse Movie Skeletor).
