The turnovers are ugly and they have a habit of doing this. Lazy passes, bad ball handling you name it.
I don't think they're winning this series. They look tired, they're all banged up. Which every team is but they're making it known they're hurting and it feels like they're looking for sympathy.
And if they're tired now it's going to be worse the older they get. They're young they shouldn't be tired.

Re: NBA Discussion
At this point I'm rooting for Boston because a theoretical Miami/Golden State series would be ugly. I can see Jimmy Butler going off like he did against the Lakers a few years back, maybe stealing them a game, but it'd be no contest.

Re: NBA Discussion
Firepower-wise yeah I don't think the heat could hang with GS. They also have a bunch of guys that I could see completely disappearing in the next round.
I'll say this if Boston plays game 5 like they did game 3 and lose the way they did they won't win this series. They can't have another half assed, turnover laden, lazy passes all over the place type performance.
I do think Boston should win but they're injuries and lack of effort or tiredness might be catching up to them. They shot the ball like crap in the 2nd half of game 4. That tells me their legs ain't there.

Ok so now if the Celtic's don't win this will be a huge disappointment.
Sadly whoever does win this series it's looking like they won't have anything left for GS.

Re: NBA Discussion
Good point on "gas in the tank". Regardless of tonight's outcome, it will be two 7-game series in a row for the Cs, and both a 6-game and a 7-game series in a row for the Heat (with a bunch of nagging injuries). The rested GSW team who will now have been in the finals 6 out of the past 8 years looks like the team of destiny right now.

Re: NBA Discussion
Golden State feels like the stronger team going into the Finals, but their competition has been a lot weaker than Boston's.
I'm taking Boston in 6. I feel pretty good about it, except with the way the Celtics close in tight games. They're about the worse clutch team I've ever seen.

Well when you got Marcus Smart who can't shoot leading you in shots it's amazing we win any games.TheSameIdiot wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 8:50 amGolden State feels like the stronger team going into the Finals, but their competition has been a lot weaker than Boston's.

Re: NBA Discussion
Yeah I obviously have too much invested being a Celtics fan to probably give an unbiased pick for who's going to win the series.
But I will say the one thing that's been consistent with Boston for the last 8-10 yrs. they tend to get up for GS and I actually think they might have a winning record against em.
While I do think they're road to get here has been physical and tiring from two game 7's and should be primed for GS to pick apart. GS does not play that physical D and the Celtic's might look at it and say finally we can just play. It could be the exact thing they need to get over the hurdle.

You're right. Boston is the only team with a winning record against Golden State since Steve Kerr took over.

Re: NBA Discussion
Golden State was in control the whole game and blew it. I hate to overreact to a single game, especially game one, but I think they're in trouble. Everything Boston did was replicable.
