Oh, I haven't noticed the robe is soft goods. I wonder whether he'll come with two different ones because when they showed him at a fair last time it was plastic.

I know it's culturally frowned upon here to express displeasure at a toy maker's choices since they made someone happy even if it wasn't you, but I think the 1/6th Storm Mortal Kombat was a huge whiff. They are being sold at a discount close to $200 now.

Meanwhile I just paid $250 for a 1/12 Storm SubZero because they may never make any more and Subzero is a core character. It's disappointing because for the effort and manufacturing resources they used to make these two 1/6 figures, they could have re-done 1/12 Subzero and Scorpion, and I could have saved over $150.

There's speculation that Storm lost the MK license, and I can't not have a subzero in my display. I was waiting on them releasing a subzero version of the SDCC Scorpion from a few years ago, that had the MK1 style chest and MK3 style legs but I'm afraid if they lost the license it's over for good.

Reminds me of Super7 putting resources into making weird Simpsons figures and then losing the license. Storm could have made 3 or 4 1:12 scale figures using the same resources and capital they did to make these 1/6 scale ones.

Does anyone who collects Storm Collectibles Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat also collect any Professional Wrestling figures? I watched WWF back in the 80s, and have a desire to buy a very small number of figures out of nostalgia. Like an Ultimate Warrior or Bret the Hitman Hart.

I don't want a full wrestling display, and I'm not interested in just displaying two or three wrestling figures by themselves, but if I could "fudge" them into a SF/MK display, that might be interesting and worth the $100 to give it a shot buying 2 to 3 figures.

My concern is the scale or aesthetics would look disjointed. Obviously it's two different types of figures that aren't meant to intermingle, but I think Storm Collectibles is about an 8" scale and Mattel WWE Figures are 7" scale I think, and it would be reasonable to believe a human WWE wrestler would be smaller than a multi-armed monster like Goro.

I mix my SF and MK figures together, there's no reason to believe they couldn't fight each other. So thinking of dropping a few wrestlers in there too, from a lore perspective, I could see it working. They're all fighting.

@ben I don't think that will work. Storm figs are 7" tall, the Mattel ones a more like 6.75". Could fit together height wise with like the first SF5 Ryu, Ken and Chun and MK2 ninjas which were a bit smaller but as some point the entire storm line got a slight height increase to being at least 7" tall. That's one the thing. The other is their bulkiness. The WWE guys are supposed to be muscle bound human growth hormone nightmares but they'll look pretty underwhelming standing next to SC.

I really thought I was done buying Storm Collectibles figures ...  but man,  I went ahead and pre-ordered this thing because I need it.    The price isn't outrageous either considering the direction Storm had been heading.   $55 from Storm directly or $63 from BBTS.     Just when I think I'm out... they pull me back in.

God damn, can't say no to that silly character at that price. Sucks that he doesn't come with any effects, though.

Honestly,  I'll take the trade off.    I'd rather have the $55 price point and no effects than the $70 price point I was expecting and a bunch of effects that would more often than not sit in a storage container.

I kinda wanna get Taki but she's supposedly taller then 1 12 scale, almost McFarlane 7 inch size. And I've seen some reviews and she seems... off. The jacket looks weird, the head is too small, and while I'm all for nipples, they feel like they protrude too much. And the hands in the reviews were painted poorly, whereas the rest of the figure was painted great.

Who's Skullo, superhero? what powers?

(wish he had a purple scarf) would look better, more of a "creepy" theme
