Mortal Kombat Figures

I would love a line of figures that covered the majority of MK, you could license either Trilogy or Armageddon and get a huge majority, I like the 3D era a lot so those looks wouldn’t bother me. Storm figures look good but they are very brittle, and they aren’t priced to be so delicate. I would love something that is actually made to be used, if any license called out for extensive posing it’s MK. For me the most satisfying MK figures are the old G.I. Joe tie-ins, they were limited in some ways but at least you had the whole OG MK 1 roster, I don’t think any game has ever had all the characters made since. But Mortal Kombat is my number one most wanted line from a company that can make affordable and quality figures.

@valo487 I've actually found that of all the sort of 'import' style figures, Storm's are by far the sturdiest feeling these days.

I know the initial releases were really fragile, though. Both my first release Scorpion and Sub-Zero got really loose and eventually fell to pieces. I almost swore off the line entirely because of that. They got better once they moved past the original ninja molds.

Also count me in for an Armageddon line. I love the 3D era and a lot of the designs featured in those games.

Yeah, I like most of the MK1 redesigns. I'd want all the ninjas (Scorpion, Sub Zero, Reptile, Smoke, Rain, Kenshi)

Out of the females I think I would be most likely to buy Kameo Sonya.

Does Storm Collectibles not have the MK license anymore? I was waiting for an MK3 Jax to complete my characters I played the most set. It'd be nice if they all matched in style.

I’d take a Tremor after seeing his new design.

I don't know for sure, but they have so many licenses they're soliciting and releasing, something is going to hit the back of the line sooner or later.

I had these and they were pretty bad. Reptile's head snapped off the day I got him, the poseability is weak (those waist joints are literally useless), and they're also oddly short. Like, notably shorter than any of the other figures in the line. May've even been below the six inch mark if memory serves me correctly. The way the faces are painted makes all of them look really goofy too. The paint was awful across the board, really.

Not worth tracking down.

That sucks.  I just want a Scorpion and Sub-Zero I can pair up with the Jada Toys Ryu and Ken.

I actually returned them after I got them from Toys R' Us when they were out. They were BAD. I also vaguely remember them as being between 2.5" to 4" scale? Not quite G.I. Joe size and no where near Marvel Legends size

Jakks also had a not quite 6 inch line that was garbage too...

@slixta

By the time they got to Shaolin Monks, the sculpts became pretty decent, but man do they just not feel good in the hand. I have a Reptile, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero from the line. Scorpion is ridiculously loose in the arms and both Sub-Zero and Reptile have had multiple broken joints that I've needed to fix.

It's honestly funny how the sculpts and paintwork actually got worse with the MK9 line.

I haven't played the game, but ever since I saw the look of Reptile's "saurian" form in MK1, I've been hoping Storm would make a figure of it.  Seems pretty doutful, though.  I don't get the impression that it's a very prominent look throughout the game except maybe in his Fatalities.

New third party figure that is DEFINITELY not based on Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat X. With the rumors circulating about Storm Collectibles' MK license either being frozen or outright lost, I'm really not sure we're gonna see much from other companies either. Especially when you consider how WB has been lately.

I doubt this line will go deep, BUT if it can just give us a good Scorpion and Sub-Zero in true(ish) 1/12 scale, I'll be happy.

I know there's a lot going on with the MK merchandise license right now, but to see absolutely not one thing during SDCC so far is incredibly sad. I had pipe dream hopes for figures from the 95 movie for the 30th anniversary next year, but to not even have anything MK related shown sucks.
