Got King yesterday. I thought he looked too basic in the promo shots, but he's better in hand. He's got two big aesthetic issues though--the ab crunch is very slightly too gappy by about 1/16" to 1/32" which is visible in the promos, and the waist ball joint is SUPER-gappy which you can't see in the promos. If you bend the waist ball at all a giant gap starts to form. It's a nit-pick though because it's easy to pose around. Jin is their best release so far by quite a bit, and I'd put King below him but above Heihachi and Kazuya both of which are far more bland.
I'm pretty satisfied with this line at the price point. The articulation is generally excellent, and the aesthetics are good enough. I have the Storm Collectibles King, and I'm not sure I need him anymore because this one scratches my King itch enough. For context I'm a big Tekken fan. I used to cruise arcades in my area looking for competition at Tekken 2 and 3 in the mid-1990s, and King is my favorite character. Used to know all of his chain throws although I haven't done them in probably 20 years at this point.
Anyone heard of announced figures after King in this line? Seems like it might be dead.
