I could see Powermaster Optimus and Godbomber going Haslab simply because every Haslab so far has had appeal to North American and especially Japanese audiences - NA because they didn't get it and Japanese for the nostalgia. God Bomber fits that bill nicely.

Yeah I could see that becoming a trend for the next few Haslabs. If gives Hasbro a supposedly surefire seller in another version of Prime, while also appealing to the Japanese market for nostalgia. Also while PMOP and Godbomber (probably going to get a name change knowing current day Hasbro) are fairly popular they are still probably just niche enough, and complex enough, to give Hasbro the excuse they need to go the Haslab route.
Omega Prime:
5,535 / 10,000 (+678) 55.35% of funding goal with 42d 19h left.
Over half way there with a lot of time left.
Omega Prime:
5,951 / 10,000 (+416) 59.51% of funding goal with 41d 18h left.
Almost at 60% funded.
I'd much rather they keep the Haslabs for either super massive figures or cool, obscure stuff that's a bit of a risk. An eventual Powermaster Prime sounds like something that could easily just be done regularly, it's much too safe in that regard. I'd much rather see, say, a full bells and whistles Thunderclash update kind of thing.
@revox I think it's a combination of a couple things. First they don't want a failure during the 40th anniversary so they went with something they felt was safer.
Second price has, seemingly, become more of an issue for Haslabs and Hasbro's different teams seem to understand that a bit more. Outside of the Ghost, all of last year's Haslabs were $300 or less. So keeping it under $300 for Transformers is probably the sweet spot right now. Especially since they still pump out Titan class figures for over $200, Commander class for almost $100 and they still do the Combiners as retail releases. That makes it tricky to release something through Haslab that is highly desired, and reasonable enough in backers minds (price wise) to warrant a Haslab. I mean we see it with almost every Haslab...."THIS COULD BE RELEASED AT RETAIL"
Third is project selection. Some of the brands are kind of running out of steam for choice (Marvel Legends). I mean the ML team did what they thought was a shoe in character with Giant Man and he came down to the wire to get funded at $200!!! The Ghost did ok, but it could have gone either way, especially due to price. Thankfully it is an under produced ship outside of small scale releases (Hot Wheels, etc.) However the Star Wars team definitely has a below average track record for Haslabs compared to the other brands. So selection is only going to be harder going forward for most brands. Transformers and GI Joe are lucky in that they have a lot of options still, but Transformers may have to stick with smaller, cheaper Haslabs because the larger, more expensive options may not fund.
In the end I still think price is the biggest factor because a lot of the "dream" projects people could fund at a high price are either going to be too expensive
Omega Prime:

Passed 60% of funding and on the way to 70%. If it can maintain this rate it should hit 70% early next week. And Japan hasn't even started funding yet.

RID is one of my favorite Transformers series of all time. I don't know why. But it is.

I thought opening in Japan would be a bigger bump.

I don't know how popular Car Robots was in Japan, but I don't know if they immediately updated the backer count after opening in Japan. I believe they did weekly international backer updates during the last couple of TF Haslabs.
Either way it is grooving along fine and should back in the next couple weeks at most.
Omega Prime:

I’m definitely not backing this but I’m glad it highly seems like it will fund for those backing.
@leor I'm going to back it but I honestly only really want it for the Super Mode Prime. I like the separate Prime on his own. I don't like Ultra Magnus at all. I am a bit ambivalent on Omega Prime (I find it a bit "busy" with colours and design).
However I absolute love the Super mode for Prime. I always kept mine in that mode when I had it because I just enjoyed the look so much. This Haslab version does a great job of updating it to avoid a lot of the issues that came from time. Also it is a bit bigger which I like as well. Hopefully it is as sturdy as they made it out to be in the live stream.
