I'd be more excited for more figure reissues if Playmates would stop cutting paint apps. Important paint apps...
I keep finding the new Mutant Mayhem vehicles, but no Toilet Taxi, which of course shares the same SKU as the two new ones.
Looks like the articulated 1988 redesigns or 40th anniversary or whatever they're calling the TMNT Origins line are hitting Walmarts and Targets. Just saw MadHatter's review of them. The ankles are a major bummer, but the texture looks better on the actual toy than the promo shots. Still not great, but I can overlook it based on how nostalgic and fun these looks. Them falling down or not being able to pose well for the legs won't be fun, but I'm in for the set if I can find them up here in the great white north.
@karl_space they basically got lumped into the original sketch topic, but just an FYI those new figures are Walmart exclusives in case you were hitting up a bunch of Targets in search of them.
Ran into the new re-releases (Rat King, Mutagen Man, Slash, Casey Jones) and Movie Star wave 2 today at Wal-Mart. That Super Shredder looks -rough-. The vintage line releases look fine, though Rat King is certainly missing paint apps on his eyes and the bones on his chest. Looks like some missing items too. It's kind of crazy to me that the value of the line is selling nostalgia, but you're being sold worse product because they can't get every piece together for some reason, or they cut paint apps to save money.
Incompetent.
First the Technodrome, now the Mutant Module and Original Sewer Lair playset! This is so cool.
I have damn near all the vintage figures and some vehicles. But some of these larger things like the Technodrome and Sewer Lair I probably would have never gone back and bought the vintage versions. I will gladly buy these rereleases.
Oooh I didn’t see the news about the module or sewer. Didn’t have either of those growing up! Looking forward to that childhood wish fulfillment! I used to make those things out of cardboard!
Something we did have as kids was the Pizza Thrower, which I spotted at Target this week, but passed on. It was a cool thing, but huge and cumbersome for a one trick pony vehicle. It was so big but had room for like one figure properly. Didn’t want to dish out $40 for another.
I played with the Pizza Thrower more than any other toy I’d bet. I’d set up TMNT or Battle Beasts in our tiled entryway and shoot them down for hours on end.
Also, I don’t think the sewer is confirmed. Playmates had it and some other stuff like the drill vehicle on a slide labeled “under consideration”. It seems pretty likely but it might be a year+ away.
Speaking of the Pizza Thrower and adding the Toilet Taxi, are those two vehicles on Target's website anywhere? I can't find them by searching, but I know they are both Target exclusives.

Funny that you mention that but I used a Quaker Oatmeal container to make a transport module for my figures. I would have done anything to have the real thing as a kid.
I haven’t checked Target.com for the Toilet Taxi because I stumbled on it and picked it up this week. I think what put me over on it was the included Donatello figure. I don’t remember the original coming with one.
Well, if anyone has a link to the toilet taxi or pizza thrower, please post it. I would buy both.

Couldn't find the Pizza Thrower. I find the best way to locate stuff on Target or Walmart's terrible websites is to just google it. "Toilet Taxi Target" returned it as the first hit.
