"Movie Stylization" Bebop and Rocksteady:
If that pic doesn't show up, they're included in this gallery: https://toynewsi.com/139-56831
I’m surprisingly creeped out by those.
Just when we thought there was no one else for Neca to make from the movie...
It's the kind of idea I really love. I hope they do those two in "Mirage Comics Stylization" as well.
@cmoney Those two remind me of the movie realization (or movie stylization now I guess) April in the yellow jumpsuit they were working on ages ago. Hopefully this means she's still coming as well.
Just when I thought I was done with the movie line 🤣
I know they're kind of off-putting to some, but I actually really like how those look.
I dig 'em too. I kinda regret not picking up Tokka and Rahzar now. I'd planned to stick to just the first film and until now had been doing perfectly with that!
Those look amazing. Trevor told Pixel Dan that they'll both have hinged jaws and articulated ears for as much expression as possible.
I have no interest in Bebop and Rocksteady, but it's pretty wild that NECA is doing them. I definitely see the Henson influence in Rocksteady who looks an awful lot like Mr. Richfield from Dinosaurs.
I like these but they're missing a few things, i feel like bebops sunglasses are something you shouldnt mess with so im not a fan of the ones hes got. Also really missing the turtle shell shoulder pads.

Pretty sure those are early prototypes, and nothing accessory wise was shown, so things are likely still being worked on/tweaked.
It's a tough position NECA has put itself in. They want to dream up their own take on these characters, but fans have certainly expectations of what makes Bebop Bebop and Rocksteady Rocksteady. You also don't want them to stray too close to the CG characters from the 2010s movie. Rocksteady already just looks like the Playmates figure made real with a Henson style. Maybe that's all fans want? It might have been more interesting though to pick out two of the loudest outfits from the Foot hideout and select those characters as the ones that would have been mutated, but I'm guessing safer is better for sales in this case. Plus the movie lore is that ooze just mutates animals into humanoid ones so it wouldn't have made sense to go that route. Tokka and Rahzar were outfitted with stuff found in a junkyard, Bebop and Rocksteady wearing remnants of billiard tables and arcade cabinets probably wouldn't be met warmly by fans. Either way, they're not for me so I'll just view from afar to see what direction they go in.
