Kevin arrived yesterday. He's fine. Not much to say about it as it doesn't move well or come with much, but the likeness is there and I like the novelty of having a Kevin Eastman in with my movie figures. If it's something you missed out on, I definitely would not recommend overpaying on the aftermarket unless you're an absolute completist. Otherwise it will probably just be a huge letdown. Now, they need to figure out how to give us a Peter.
The Casey Jones release is bizarre and, if I may be a tiny bit hyperbolic, insulting. We finally got the unmasked Casey we had wanted. That figure was, as far as I could ever tell, a fucking pain in the balls to actually find (for retail price - thanks scalpers). Some of us literally never saw one, ever.
And when NECA has the chance to get a movie Casey back out there, they give him --- a fucking dirt bike that no person in the history of our species has ever asked for even a single time. And they DON'T even include the unmasked head.
Unreal.
The movie line seems to have hit that point where they're just throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks. The Leo vs Shredder set makes some sense, but for the most part, I don't think many are interested while there are still people trying to get the movie 1 sets for a decent price. And if they finally stick vertically hinged gripping hands into that new set I might riot.
The only character I consider missing from movie TMNT figures (I'm only counting the first two movies, never saw the third), is Paige Turco April from the second movie. I feel like, after Tatsu, and the Professor Perry 2pk, there's like no one else absolutely necessary. It's what I really like about this line, it can be pretty finite and feel complete. I didn't even collect any from SotO except Keno, and mostly because Ernie Reyes Junior is my brother's wife's cousin.
I would have considered double dipping on Shredder if they gave him a new headsculpt with the sinister grin from that, "ahh, the rat, it HAD a name," exchange.
Stumbled on and picked up the Leonardo vs Shredder set. Didn't realize it would be out so soon after being announced. I don't need extras of either of them, but it was a tense moment in the movie that stuck with me for years. Leo's my fav, and I was sure he could go toe to toe with Oroku Saki. To see him disarmed and completely vulnerable was actually pretty unnerving to me as a kid!

I ordered the Casey with bike as a site to store pick up, I’m not even gonna open it, I just love it feels like a bootleg toy set were you get an off color movie Batman, accessories from an animated Spider-man, and a motor bike they had laying around and it’s called “Heroic Night Warrior of Heroes!”, it’s silly as hell, I love it!

Tatsu is in stores again. I'm sure it'll vary for you, but I saw 4 on pegs at one of my WMs.
For Turtle Tuesday, NECA released a new checklist for the movie line. No surprises, it's just been updated for the 2024 stuff.
NECA has the Shadow Master Super Shredder on their website today. I can't recall if this one was ever made available online and it's been awhile since it came out. Really cool figure, if you don't have it.
Just here to reiterate my desire for a TMNT Universal Monsters Dracula Donatello in case NECA reads this. I never thought of the Invisible Man as much of a "monster" per se, so I'm hoping to round out the group with a vampire Donnie.
NECA promoted the other day on Facebook a return of Keno and his moped, presumably this time without all of the extra crap you had to pay for when he was a comic con exclusive. No word on when he'll be made available, but probably on a Tuesday in the near future. It will be interesting to see how the figure is priced this time around considering they've done Casey with a bike, and now Last Ronin Casey Marie with a bike.
