I’m impressed Michel-dangle-low doesn’t share any parts with the topless Ronin, I thought for sure they made that one to cover the cost a fully nude version down the road (gave it half the accessories you need for the fully armored version, and gave it half the body of the nude one, classic NECA!) the fact it’s all new sculpt (or at least new tooling) is impressive to me!
I think I’m gonna get at least four… I’ve been wanting to make a set of “Mythic Legions” Turtles and trying to figure out the best way to do that, I think four of this guy (he has four heads for a reason!) with some war paint and attached armor and some medieval weaponry instead ninja weaponry will fit the bill very nicely!
I'm wondering, has anyone from NECA ever commented why the 4 Brothers and figures like Karai are so much smaller than Armored Ronin? Heck, they're even sculpted in different styles (Ronin has much more detailing to his clothes) and articulation.
The Turtles are from the "past" of the Last Ronin story, and in-story, the Ronin has been getting bigger and stronger as a continuation of his original mutation.
Hmm I guess you're right. I've just skimmed it now again and yeah, he does appear to be huge in some panels when shown next to April, while in flashbacks they're about the same height. I've read Last Ronin when it came out but forgot about that bit. Thanks. Still doesn't make sense for Karai to be so darn small, though imo.

Amazon just cancelled my LR Leo due to insufficient stock. Is he going to be more plentiful later or is the NECA store my only option for MSRP?

Yeah, they are part of the second series, after the lost years comics. I think all four of the original turtles end up dying in the first series, and so these are the replacements.
