I was looking for batteries for my TF crossover KITT at Target, and stumbled on an end cap of TMNT stuff further away from the typical collector shelves near electronics. It had several Leatherheads and SEVEN STUMP sets. I should have scanned to find the current price, even though the shelf tag said $149.

They have just as many Stump Turtle sets at my Target too. I keep hoping they’ll go on clearance before my receipt expires, but that’s in a couple more days…

That's a great set for 75. It might have been my favorite release of 2024. I almost wish I could talk myself into needing another set, but the only one I wouldn't mind doubles of is Raph.

I got out the Krang-Shredder last night, and I accidentally pulled him apart at the waist while switching the heads, and now I can’t get the waist reattached. I’ve tried heating it up but it just won’t get back together at all.

@nilocomic is it just a ball joint? That's what it feels like, but I've never pulled mine apart. If so, the end with the socket is the one I would dunk into hot, but not boiling, water for 15 seconds or so. For the the actual ball peg, I'd add a little silicon lubricating oil and then apply elbow grease. If it's a ball joint, it should definitely go back together it's just a matter of applying enough heat. I had a bitch of a time with the Lotus Blossom figure from the toon line where neck came apart on me when trying to swap heads. I got so frustrated, and my fingers ached enough, that I had to walk away and return to it another day and then finally got it to go.

@misfit It’s just a wide, round peg, not a ball socket. I heated up the hole when I tried it.

@nilocomic okay, still sounds like the sort of thing that was assembled at the factory by just forcing it together. Since its a post and not a ball, you may want to heat both ends. It should go together. That's pretty crazy that it came apart like that. I can't say I've ever had that happen before.

EDIT:  Coincidentally, I went to swap from the Shredder head back to the Krang head today to snap some pics and the whole neck assembly came out instead (the flesh colored parts are a separate piece glued into the blue upper torso). Definitely not the easiest figure to head swap on. Since I intend to display him as Shredder and not Kredder, I just put it back together and called it a day.

It's frequently a concern that the neck piece can come out of these figures' bodies, it makes me worried to swap the heads.

I spotted 2 Kraang Shredder at an out of the way, less traveled Walmart today, and was able to snag one.

Came across a Mondo Gecko at a random Target last week, but I couldn’t convince myself to get him, even though I’ll probably end up getting the rest of the Mutanimals. Something about the design doesn’t click for me.

@salemcrow I also saw about 6 Krang Shredders at Walmart in Tampa on Wednesday. Worth checking your stores, folks.

Ace Duck is scheduled to be a part of Walmart Collector Con next week and will set you back 50 bucks for the right to let Walmart cancel on you. I know this is a sculpt they're unlikely to get much use out, but that's a tough sell with what's included (extra heads, hands, and the same folding chair the turtles came with). I'd like to get it, but I do not like where prices are going with this hobby.

$50! Glad I wasn’t interested in Ace Duck in the first place.

I bet he’s as big as Cryin Houn. That’s all I can think of to justify the price.
