Found my first ever Rare ship while hitting up a new (for me) Target before a concert yesterday. Hera's X Wing. Wasn't really on my want list before, but that very well could have been because I figured I'd just never see it. With the deluxe Ghost on the way whenever, it might be nice to pair up with that one; do the X Wings port in to the side like the Y Wings do?
Still collecting this line vicariously through my son. For Christmas he got the Bad Batch Shuttle, Obi-Wan and Anakin's Jedi Interceptors, and an AT-TE. I don't know how long the thrill will last, but he was looking into what else they've done/are doing. He wanted Grievous with his bike, and is hoping for an ARC-170. Clone army is really his focus, and I wish they'd do figure packs or something so we can have more guys for his gunship and AT-TE.
I don't think they'll make figure packs for this line, since they're license is for vehicles. And they see the figures as just bonus items. I think they could pack a couple of small vehicles and then a bunch of figures as scenes, which would be a way to get more army builder figures into the line.
I believe an ARC-170 is coming to the line soon.
Thank you for that, and awesome about the ARC-170!
@ru1977 I keep meaning to revisit this line. I only have the U-wing from Rogue One but it's so neat and I've moved the Falcon and Ghost in and out of my online cart like 30 times each. I think I'm afraid I'll fall down a rabbit hole with them but I love tiny ships with tiny people.
I bought the Ghost on a $15 whim and it's really beautiful! I'm not a big vehicle person - have the BMF and Mando's new ship but nothing else from SW. I did have Amidala's silver ship two decades ago but sold it off a decade and a half ago - because it wasn't chrome. Always bothered me. 🙂
But this Ghost ticks off my not buying the HasLab, I think. I hope.
@docsilence that was my issue as well. I already collect too much! But yeah they're great and I still love putting little people into ships, but I put s limit for myself, then my son set out to only get things from the clone wars period, so that helps. I do get the Imperial Shuttle and never opened it so I may sell that one for what it cost me on eBay. Just because if I have that one, it means I have to get another one that will lead to another one, all to make the collection make sense. But the three I have now are just ships belonging to my favorite characters and that's easy to leave at that.
@ru1977 That's my hesitation - if I get the Falcon, I'm going to need an X-Wing. I thought oh I'll get just generic pilots so I'm not tempted to build entire casts, but if I get an A wing, I gotta get a B wing, right? I could PROBABLY trick myself into just getting like, OT stuff but I picked up Rogue One first so... oops. They do have a handful of fun ones on Amazon for 14 bucks right now though, B wing, Y wing, a TIE.
@docsilence Just move to Canada. Between the crap distribution and ridiculous prices you'll easily cure yourself of wanting to expand the collection.
That's been the one good thing about MGS here in Canada. It is ridiculously hard to find stuff after wave 1/2 at regular retail. Plus the prices are so terrible that it is easy to pass up on stuff. Right now the only places to really find stuff at regular retail is TRU or Amazon. TRU is over priced generally, and Amazon is hit or miss depending on the algorithm. In any case we are paying about 30%-40% more than you guys (sticker price).
I only have the Razor Crest, AT-AT and Ventress' Ginivex Fighter because they were all selling on clearance when I got them. Paid (before tax) $29 for the AT-AT, $19 for the Razor Crest and $1 for the Ginivex Fighter (yes $1).
@canprime I wish it was easier to set up like, a US to Canada pipeline for you guys. If shipping and taxes weren't so difficult I'd be happy to buy something cheap for a Canadian collector and ship it up. (I have a weirdly enthusiastic readership fanbase in Alberta and I learned the hard way that even just shipping books or merch to folks across the border is BRUTAL.)

And that's how they get you. That's how they ALWAYS get you. You buy a bunch of stuff because it's cheap and who could that hurt? Then the dust settles and you go into 'if I have this, I'll need that' mode.
