I think I figured out how I'm going to do my first bite at the apple on the line: the U-Wing is in stock at my local Target. I always buy an outlier character I love first when I start an action figure line (my first Marvel Legends was Havok instead of Spidey for example) so I don't feel like I have to go all in, so picking up the doomed crew of Rogue One feels like the best place to start. (Also not a huge lift on the price.)
Luckily, I think this is one I can behave myself on. I don't have the same affinity for ships as I do for the characters themselves, with a few exceptions. If it's something that's closely associated with the character themselves, like Grievous' wheelbike, or the Jedi starfighters, then maybe I'll go for it, especially if it's a character I really love/collect (Grievous, Plo, Ahsoka, etc.). The Ghost is another one that's iconic enough, and I love pretty much the entire crew of, that I feel I can justify. Whereas I feel no real affinity for the Emperor's Shuttle, or the Bongo, etc. Other ships that are iconic in their own right but don't have any specific ties to, like the X-Wing, TIE Fighter, etc.- I'm fine getting in the smaller Hot Wheels line to have represented, but not take up too much space or money.
Then again, I've said the whole "I'll just get one or two. I won't get sucked in." before, to varying degrees of success, so I guess we'll see. There's still ones I want to get- both Grievous releases, more Jedi shuttles, etc. I'd totally get Enfys and her speeder if they ever made her. But for now, I don't feel the pull to complete, which I'm celebrating!
Yeah, I'm probably putting way too much thought into how to limit myself on this line but I've just gotta. The character thing is really good angle. All of them are super damned neat, and even as someone heading toward fifty, I still wanna go open all the things and put people in them, spread wings out and so on. This line, to me, lends far more to playing than BS, which for me are just great for displaying.
But yeah, the Sith Infiltrator seems like a great one to grab when it's out. Probably a Jedi Starfighter, Slave One of course, and the Ghost is reeeeally tempting. I'd hop on an Outrider though.
I found some new ships last night at Target, picked up the Phantom with Ezra and Chopper as well as a Mandalorian Fang Fighter. I really like both, the Phantom really makes me eager to get the Ghost and compete the crew.
The unfortunate thing is that the Fang Fighter really drives home that they made the Mandalorian Gantlet ship in the wrong size class. It should not be in the Fighter class, it should be scaled larger and Included in the Starship class, like the shuttles or U-Wing. It shouldn't be a single seat vehicle it ought to have a larger interior (and included Axe Woves and Kosa Reeves).
@presidentjuggernaut Probably best to just use the Hot Wheels Talon Fighter as an escort for the MGS Gauntlet. That is about as close to scale as you can get right now. Not exactly the Fang fighter but a good placeholder for now.
A local Walmart has the At-AT down to $47 and change, but there are still at least 5 on the shelf, so I'm going to give it another week or so to see if the price drops any more.

My local Target marked the AT-AT 30% off and I didn't buy it (they had four), and last week, it had been marked down to 50% off (which I think is thirty dollars). I figured I'd think on it, but the next day, they were all gone. I snoozed, so I losed.
Hi everyone! I decided to sign up after finding this MGS thread on Google 🙂
I made an updated tracker of all Series 6 finds: https://microgalaxy.net/news/series-6-release-updates/
Please do provide updates of any finds or sightings you have in your area! Looking forward to contributing to this group 🙂

A buddy of mine found one at Target today too but he got street dated.
Found the AT-TE at Target today while at lunch. Reshop cart had a couple on it. I grabbed both (one for me, one for my friend). I was walking away and a Target employee chased me down. I thought she was going to confiscate them, but she scanned them both and let me have them. Not sure if she was checking for streetdates or going through some inventory process. Self checkout let me buy them, so I assume they don't have a streetdate. $39.99. 087-26-3415.
I got the Obi-Wan Jedi Interceptor at Amazon for $8-something for Prime Day. They have the V-Wing for $7.50 as well.
I'm really hoping to stumble upon the Darth Vader Jedi Interceptor is anyone happens to stumble upon it and doesn't want it. It's one of the only 3.75" vehicles I held onto during a SW toy purge years ago. Really like that deco for the Jedi starfighter.
Finally went through with it and took my first leap into the line, picking up U Wing on a Target tonight. I could see myself getting really into this line. The side hatches are a little awkward and hard to open but man, if these had been around when I was a kid, the TINY PEOPLE IN TINY SPACE SHIPS thing would have been my jam and I still dig it. Not gonna go nuts with it right away but think I'll pick a few more up (the Ghost is VERY TEMPTING as my next pick). Any favorites I should look out for? I'm of course eyeballing the Falcon and an X-Wing, a TIE fighter, the basics, but wondering if there's any super standouts.
(FWIW, huge fan of anything with a generic no-named pilot, too. The A wing super appeals, always an old fave in other lines.)
