How'd you get him so fast?!  Mine is coming from Fedex and slated for the 20th?  Everything I've ordered lately has been cancelled, delayed indefinitely, shipped and delayed, etc.  I definitely offended the toy gods.

Mine shipped yesterday from about an hour or two away, so didn't have far to travel. (Live in NJ, came from PA)

I rarely get things fast, so was surprised...

Still no shipping notice on mine, but that's okay. My JP figures are kinda floating around right now, looking for a new shelf anyway.

@fac Slow has always been my experience with Fedex.  Could come from across the country or in my state, it'll be a week no matter what.

Daaayummm!  Anyone know the proper ritual to regain the favor of the toy gods?!

@zombief-body Still figuring it out, myself. I find that a self-sacrifice sometimes works. I've been doing that a bit more lately- behaving myself with things I don't need, or waiting for my online shipments to come in, even if I find something in store first. I even donated some older figures I wasn't displaying anymore. I know, I know- I'm basically the most selfless person. 🤣  But in turn, the toy gods have thrown some goodies my way.

We all have our ups and downs with the TGs. Here's hoping they bring you good fortune again soon!

@joshsquash729 Thanks!  Yeah, the hobby certainly has it's ups and downs.  I have a ton of older stuff I need to go through and donate to Goodwill.  Clear out space.  Plan on getting onto that next year, that's my main resolution to slim things down.

Edit:

Hey tracking is showing in the state for Wu but now instead of Monday the 20th for the estimate it's showring Saturday the 25th.  Fedex would have to Fedex really hard to make this thing take a week and half to get delivered when it's already two-hours away from me!  They'll make it happen or try their hardest too.  Wish there was a cheaper more efficient delivery service out there to lure companies away from Fedex.

As far as I've read up on it, you need to toss a scalper into an active volcano to curry favor.

@salemcrow Gotta stop knee-capping them with a broom stick then.  I'll gladly escalate.

My bitching about Fedex seemed to work as I had a small box waiting by door when I came home this evening.  Fedex tracking is pretty much useless anyway.  Never really accurate until your item is on a truck for final delivery.  Cool figure though.  Certainly not worth the exclusive tax on it but it's a necessary addition to our collections.  I don't imagine BD Wong is a super tall guy, but am I off base thinking the figure is a little small?  Some online review I saw mentioned how they would have sacrificed the base for an egg chamber with the egg-flipping robot hand and I agree with that.

I consider JP1 complete now.  If we do get the kids in the Hammond Collection how do we go?  Try to add the extra joints or just make them a 2-pack using the molds we have with extra heads, better deco and accessories to pad them out?

Got the baby Stego in this week.  I generally like him, but man, they really cheaped out on the neck articulation--he can't turn it sideways at all.  You can kind of achieve it by rotating the neck hinge sideways the same way we used to have to rotate Black Series and Legends hips around to bend legs at different angles, but that sucks a lot and the head angle looks exaggerated when you do it.

I've always liked the species though so I'm glad to have it.  Can't wait for an adult to get released.

Popfindr is showing the Carnotaurus in stock at most of my local Targets.  Target's release date isn't until next Sunday, so these would either be on the way to the store or in the back in most stores.  TCIN is 89101739

There's a review up for it and she looks glorious.

Carnotaurus goes live at Target tomorrow.  Coincidentally Target also starts a 30% sale on Jurassic World toys tomorrow, so hopefully we're able to get it even cheaper under that sale.
