Saw Claire at Target.   Not interested unless she drops far in price.   I only want JP characters, but I could use JW characters as random victims.  But they have to drop way down in price.  Haven't stumbled upon Delta yet.  I held off on Blue for the longest time, and now he's gone.  I did just place an order on Amazon for one, despite the listing saying it's temporarily out of stock.  Not sure if they ever follow through and fulfill those types of orders.  Guess we'll see.

Claire is out for delivery, and the closest Target to my work supposedly has 4 Pyroraptors (I called, but they said they wouldn't hold one because it's a collectible item - it's in the TOYS, it's not a NECA or Figuarts *sigh* - they wouldn't even verify if they had any), so I'm gonna go waste my lunch hour to swing by.

Struck out. Young dude stocking the Toys section was at least helpful enough to tell me they were in "some box" for the reset that hasn't even been started yet (I would never expect anyone to go rummaging through an entire planogram pallet, so I accepted my defeat & graciously thanked him for his help).

Good on ya, @Tenime! I'm the same; having worked retail before and dealt with some pretty horrible shoppers, I never expect anything out of an employee. If they offer, then maybe I'll accept, depending on how badly I want it or if I'm in a hurry, but I never expect anything. Especially in this day and age where, because of some sneaky collectors, something can say it's in stock but very much not be. I've tried to adopt a new mantra lately of "If it's not on the floor, it's not meant to score", and so far it's saved me a lot of time and money and taught me some good paitence!

That said, I am having that patience tested with the Pyro. Don't know what it is about a feathered dino, but it gets me goin' and awakens that inner young dino nerd! 60 seconds of screentime be damned! 🤣 Lord help me if the next Jurassic movie has more feathered dinos!

Yep, not only was I raised to not be a nuisance, my Neurodiversity makes me scared of being a nuisance, and I have 12 years of retail experience under my belt. I will ALWAYS be a "good customer."

Clicked on the Summer Geek Out notification on my phone, scrolled down to the Jurassic banner, scrolled past the categories, and randomly found this:

Don't know why I did any of that, but glad I found these. Gonna set calendar reminders for myself.

In some of the SDCC pics floating around, there seems to be a Hammond Collection Ghost and Scutosaurus coming. I have no attachment to the Scuto, but it does look like a nice, bulky guy! Excited to start getting some Atrociraptors too, and they started with the coolest one, I think.

There's also a Kayla in the case, but I can't tell if they're just using the old Legacy one, or if it's a Hammond Collection one. I think they're using Legacy Dieter, so hard to tell.

Looks like they revealed Stygimoloch for the HC as well. I think it looks pretty darn good. Showed off the packaging for it too, so maybe it's a bit further along than Ghost and the Scutosaurus? Looks like they updated the packaging a bit too- still keeping the glamor shot of the dino, which I like, but also added a steel border effect and made the logo smaller. Not sure how I feel about all that blank space

Looks like that upcoming listing on EE for a Jurassic item ended up just being the Pyroraptor, which went up for preorder.

Surprised I haven't seen any of the new HC wave in stores yet. I feel like I always saw new HC releases hit either the day of the estimated release date or even a few weeks before, but I haven't seen a single Delta or Claire (or Pyro, but she seems to be running behind). Delta just popped up on Amazon to order, so I may go ahead and just order her. It's always when I lose patience and order online that I start seeing things in stores.

Finally found a bunch of Delta at a couple local Targets. No sign of Claire or Pyro, but I went ahead and got Delta just to support the line (which means she ought to go on sale any day now). Nothing particularly new to say about her- another pretty solid Raptor figure. I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about the glass eyes, at least on the smaller figures. I think it looks mostly good on the larger dinos so far, but I think it makes the Raptors look a little off. Can't quite put my finger on it- maybe the color, or how it makes the pupil a little harder to see? Dunno. Anywho, bring on the Pyro!

After getting my preorders in the mail, I've seen clusters of Deltas here & there. Then nothing. Now I've seen a cluster of Claires at a single store. Hopefully the Pyro hits in person before BBTS (though I always hate cancelling stuff on there).

I found a pyro in the wild before BBTS processed!

That tail really messes with the balance, and I'm terrified of snapping the elbows every time I move them - the pegs are thin AF.

The Target app showed there being 1 single Pyro left at my local store, so I placed a pick up order before bed, not necessarily expecting it to go through, but sure enough, I got a Ready for Pickup notification this morning.

It's a bummer to hear that it feels fragile, though. I've lucked out and haven't really experienced any breakage issues with any of my Amber or Hammond figures. Then again, I mostly just pose them once and put them on the shelf. I'll report back later once my Pyro is in hand.

Alright, I see what you mean, Tenime. The elbow pegs do feel suuuper fragile. Not just thin, but soft as well. I think that might be their only saving grace- there might be a biiiit of give to them, but I honestly haven't tried it yet. I'm fine keeping the wings bent like they are out of package, though, and maybe splaying the shoulders a bit to add some menace to it. Also, not sure how yours was, but I can't get mine's tail to pop in all the way. Looks like there's a bit of extra plastic that didn't get fully shaved off on the peg, so I might have to try and take care of that myself.

Definitely a bit of a bummer to see a dip in QC for Pyro, who's long been one of my most wanted. Not sure if it's just the design of the dino itself or if they rushed through production to get it out. It's not a terrible figure by any means- the rest of it feels as good as the other HC releases, and I think it looks great sculpt-wise too. I can see it perhaps being weighed down a bit by its tail, but it may also keep it from toppling over too. Sure, the feathers (or probably moreso the color of the feathers) makes it look a little more plastic-y than the scaled dinos; red is a tricky color, but for the price, you really can't beat it. I'm sure customizers will be able to easily add some wash or shading to draw out a bit of the sculpt, so I'm not too worried.
