Yeah this is good news, now less than 2,000 backers away so should be no problem to fund. Brian Brink(s) does the data driven tracking with graphs that you can find through places like GeekDadLife. He has an estimate of somewhere between low 12,000s - 15,000s for the the final total.
Guess we'll see, but I feel safe that this will fund.

I think we will see full funding by Sunday, mid day, and then a full day and a half of people jumping on board. It's entirely possible it will fund on Saturday, but certainly by mid day Sunday.

I hope this keeps climbing. I would love to see more from the Plasma series and the better this does to mire likely Hasbro is to do more with the 6 inch line.
@mwoo Unfortunately unless this has a super strong finish (20,000+) I don't know that it will be a strong enough showing to get Hasbro to restart the Plasma series.
When the Skystriker funded there was hope for a resurgence of the O-ring line but unfortunately it didn't work out. Now price, quality, etc etc. played a factor. However I believe the fact it didn't hit 20,000 backers showed that while there is a strong base of collectors, there wasn't enough to warrant redoing the line.
I fear the same thing could happen here. I mean the Plasma series didn't exactly rock the shelves and the secondary market was weak until this Haslab was announced. I hope I'm wrong.

I had to do some serious thinking about this, and looked over all the current stuff on sale for black Friday deals to see if there was anything else that might tempt me and be more instantly gratifying than backing for an Exto. Happily (sadly for my wallet?) nothing on sale was anything I either didn't have some versions of already (Spero Toys AWOK figures would have been army builders), and other figures I could have gotten cheaper at Ollies or on AMazon recently (Pulse items), so the Ecto will be joining my Batmobiles, Ramen Toys "A" team van, and Party Wagon in the 1/12 collection.

Couple of end of funding points:
1- This is the lowest funding total for a Ghotsbusters Haslab to date. 3,364 less than the Proton Pack and 8,663 less than the Trap/PKE.
2- This appears to be the 5th lowest Haslab that funded (in total number of backers). Now that is based on action figure brand Haslabs that count individual backers and not including the games Haslabs. The Khetanna is the lowest funded Haslab. I can't remember where I saw the number but it was less than 9,000 backers. Unicron was somewhere in the 10,000-12,000 range I believe (again I can't find the exact number but it is somewhere). Giant-Man was 13,889 and Mos Eisley Cantina was 14,737.
So not gangbusters compared to other GB Haslabs, and Haslabs in general, but it funded so who cares!!! Congrats to the GB team and everyone who backed on a successful project. Now we wait.
