Anyone know what the deal is with Battle Armor Skeletor?  I've never seen him or that wave in stores and he seems to have sold out on EE and BBTS and I never even saw him there as available to preorder.  I've heard in some parts of the country he is pegwarming but in others he has never appeared.

@justice I don’t know about specific distribution issues, but I have him and he might be the most bad ass Skeletor figure they’ve made. He may be very popular. Saw him at Target once, but restocks of the wave have happened since and he and Lyn are always gone.

I was also lucky enough to find Battle Armor Skeletor once at Target.  Man-of-War and Sorceress Teela were on the peg alongside two from the previous wave, so I took a chance and asked if they had Merman and BA Skeletor in the back and sure enough, they did.  Never saw them again.  My BA Skeletor had extremely loose legs, like he'd do the splits from his body mass alone, so I asked Mattel for a replacement and they didn't have any (I ended up fixing him with some layers of Future floor polish on his hip balls).  This might have just been one of those "skip over" waves where Mattel, for whatever reason, doesn't make a ton of figures.  It's a shame they aren't easily available because these two in particular are some of the best figures in the line.

I noticed EE had Sorceress Teela listed as pre order sold out but Battle Armor Skeletor was just sold out.  It makes me wonder why they are possibly expecting more Teela's from Mattel but not Skeletor when they are in the same wave.  Prices for him are ridiculous on eBay, almost $100.

Huh, I hadn't been paying attention I guess.  I got BA Skeletor off Target's website fairly early on and hadn't realized it had become a thing down the road.

I usually pre-order but I'm not too worried about getting all the He-Man and Skeletor variants and they usually don't sell out but this one was such a good figure that he went quickly.

@cmoney He specifically mentioned Beast Man as looking great.  I don't think he mentioned too many specific characters other than saying they looked accurate.  I think he mentioned Battle Cat and Skeletor as well.  And a certain flying vehicle.  He just had a really positive outlook on the film after seeing what he saw.

I got the New Eternia Evil-Lyn.  Really like the face sculpt and overall vibe of the figure.  Legs look nice and strong.  But those single-joint elbows are such a letdown.  If they had better range of motion than these, single-jointed elbows can be fine.  But these just don't cut it.  Feels like a step back.  She's got a bit of the Liefeld Captain America neck at back of torso thing going on but it's not horrible.  Think it's cause the neck isn't coming forward but going straight up.  Again, it's not terrible but it is there.

Haha, thanks for the reply.  That was pretty much what I was fishing for: whether or not Beast Man's in. 🙂

Got my Panthor today and I'm just gonna say it: it's my favorite thing they've done in this line so far. This big boy is BEAUTIFUL. The reflective eyes, the complex mechanics of the jaw, the subtle but dangerous-looking armor. He's got phenomenal range of movement. But also unlike my favorite line of mounts (Mythic Legions) he feels STURDY, like I'm not afraid I'll break or damage him through casual posing and handling. Even the packaging is gorgeous. I can't remember the last time I got a figure and thought "this was ONLY 40 bucks???" Now I love the first wave Battle Cat, Cringer's my boy, no knocking him, but if they reissued Battle Cat on this body I'd absolutely rebuy him. I don't think we need many more big ticket Masterverse items, but they did such a great job with Panthor I'm legitimately curious what they'd do with Stridor and Night Stalker (though I'd be okay if they don't invest in making them).

Now I just have to decide which Skeletor is displayed with him. Although honestly I have the new Evil-Lyn out right now and she looks great with the big cat too. I may just keep them out together.

Pulled the trigger on Panthor and finally on Snout Spout as well.  When Battle Cat was out, even on clearance at Walmart for like $13, I had no interest in picking him up.  New Eternia has really dialed in what I want out of these figures where I went from passing on clearance to paying full price + shipping and considering them my second-favorite ongoing action figure collection.  Very much looking forward to what's next in this line.

@ashtalon How are the drop down hips on your Evil Lyn? I've bought two of her, the first one the left leg would drop down and then move snugly up into the hip socket, but the right leg couldn't be moved up far enough not to leave a gap between the top of the leg and the hip. I bought another and this one has the gap on both legs.

I'm curious how other folks have found Evil-Lyn's hip ROM. Mine's got one hip that just doesn't want move, haven't tried heat yet but wondering if I should just chance my arm buying a backup.

Just curious about what your favorite ongoing action figure collection is, now that you mentioned it.

New Eternia Teela and Hordak aren't super exciting to me conceptually -  we'll see what they actually look like - there's a chance that in execution they bring something new and unexpected to the table that knocks my socks off - but I suppose there's room for a new well done classic Teela in this line.

But I'm definitely most excited about Kobra Khan.   Love that character and very excited to see how they do him in Masterverse and then hopeful about whether that opens the door for more snakes in Masterverse as that is a faction that we are sorely lacking in the line.
